The OP seems to suggest that Rodgers randomly decided to publicise that he doesn't want to be our manager. In actuality, he was approached, but declined to be interviewed. So he hasn't come out and said it for no apparent reason.
Must admit I was warming to him slightly; out of the three youngies I think he was the best fit and the best to handle the step up. If he has ruled himself out on that basis then he goes up even more in my estimation, shows how intelligent he is because I think he is right, just a little too early!

Isn't this a bit of a myth? Swansea this season have been good at keeping the ball for long periods, especially in their own half. But as the season wore on, teams who refused to be panicked by their lack of possession and managed to score first found that this caused Swansea to panic themselves and tear up their game plan. That was certainly the case when they came to our (QPR) place.

Is loyalty really refusing to be interviewed because LFC's owners should already know what he can do? That's not loyalty in my book. It might be smart to avoid being turned down or it might be arrogant but it ain't loyalty. If FSG had called with an offer he'd have come in a shot. Loyalty to me is being prepared to stick through a lean year or two while a club legend rebuilds, while managing to win the trophy everybody had said we (and Arsenal) hadn't won in so long. Funny how when it's Arsenal it's no trophy but as soon as we win a trophy it's no Champions League used to hammer us. Then again, the media have no loyalty to reason and logic.
