He's good at Swansea.... But some managers are decent at one club only...

    Where's his European experience?
Where's his experience with big players?

    A bad move for LFC.

Before comparisons with AP are made... He had experience of egos at WHU and we weren't a so called top 6 side playing in Yewrope at the time.

Sacked before Christmas because Liverpool fans don't want him.

I remember him managing Reading at Newcastle and being shocked at how he admitted his players were there for the experience. Yet Newcastle were at their most vulnerable then.

Can't see this one working out for the dippers, but anything can happen in football these days.

Personally I'm not sure. He has done well with Swansea but the structure was all there for him courtesy of Martinez. The type of player he bought fitted well in Rodgers tactics. I think Kenny has gone for a different type of player at Liverpool. They have got a decent squad to be honest but I can see things going a similar way to Hodgsons time there. These things take time when you are going in a completely different direction. Joe Cole will probably benefit but I'm not convinced others are made for his brand, they are more power based.

I think continuity will be the problem. Its not like when Pardew came here and simply continued Hughtons rebuilding work with a few minor tweaks.

I'll give him a year..... If they haven't won the World cup in that time, they'll tear him to shreds.

I don't rate him as highly as some of the press. When we played Swansea they had about 75% of the play but got stuffed. Yes they passed and passed and passed but it was anyway but forward. Vorm touched the ball more times from back passesin that one game than Tim has done all season.
Looks as if he will suit LFC well.

He will need time to adapt to the step up and to bring his own brand of football to the club - but Liverpool won't afford him that. Owners, fans and seniot players alike will put too much pressure on if he isn't an instant sucess.

Think he should have had another couple of years trying to establish Swansea as a top flight club before moving on. If I'm wrong, then good luck to him. But I think he may have jumped at the chance of glory a little too soon.

    Feel sorry for Swansea fans.

If he does that I'll lose a LOT of respect for him after he came out to say how insulted he felt over speculation. Martinez to Villa I can see however.

Rogers has next to no chance of finishing 4th this season, through no real fault of his own. There is just so much rebuilding that needs to be done at Liverpool I hope they have the foresight to keep him on, regardless of where the club finishes over the next couple of seasons. This 'Top 4 is a minimum requirement' is a real noose around his neck already.

Got to be fair when Martinez and Sousa left it was the end of Swansea progressing, as they'd both done well. Yet look how they've progressed every year for about 5 years.

BR, or affectionately known as Judas, or Mr Integrity by Watford fans (and probably now Swansea fans) has done to them what he did to us. Promise to stay, promise loyalty and integrity, and then two weeks later, bog off to a different club. He did okay at Watford, but the football was boring. He did badly at Reading and got the sack (a joyous day indeed) and then he did ok at Swansea after Martinez kindly set up everything for him. He'll be found out at Liverpool, and then hopefully, after two seasons at Swansea, and 7 months at Watford and Reading, he'll be practically unemployable and we'll do the happy dance.

Bitter? yeah, can't beat it ;)

oh and yes, Paul Lambert had a row with Norwich today and apparently walked out..presumably straight to Aston Villa. i wonder what that does for the compensation issue.

God help him. Unless Liverpool start the season playing everyone off the park, they'll be calling for his head. It would be the last place I'd want to go. Well, maybe apart from Sunderland.
