<peacedove> Coming second in the year 2013/2014 many people are of the opinion that we
over achieved. Brendan Rodgers is somehow lucky that the owners still have some faith in
him. If he was Chelsea manager he would be gone before the season ends.
Money was available to spend last season and the after the sale of Luis Suarez, (whether
the money was spent wisely or not), the players he bought have another chance of proving
    themselves in the new season.

Rodgers could be gone before Christmas, after Christmas or still be here the Christmas after that, I don't know. There's been some odd decisions re coaching staff and don't forget the bunch of sackings a while ago.

Let's wait and see who he spends the Sterling money on ........

I'm not sure he'll get the Sterling money to spend, so far we've acquired players on free's and small fees(if the media are correct)and I'm not so sure our club's owners will let him lash money around on players any more, his "normal" powers as a manager have no doubt been cut back as part of his keeping his job on the clubs terms.

You could be right there. If a DoF or similar is coming in and/or the transfer committee disbanded, then maybe we'll see the money spent but smartly this time.

They could possibly tell us its getting added to the refurb money.<laugh>

I still reckon they're trying to run us along the same lines as their baseball club and it ain't working.

I think he's got to be in the top 4 slots or at least level with them by Christmas and have had a decent europa group phase to be still here.

It is hard to judge but there are qualitative things that if I as a fan were not seeing i'd sack him on.

Defending is one thing. the leaking of easy goals via set play is a consistent theme.

Striking situation. He can't just say get out mario and he vanishes so if he is lumbered with him oh oh.. he made that bed but if LFC go into next year with ings...

I just think any owner has to go here... come on this aint right.

I'm not so sure on that. They have an inherent interest in baseball so it's business and pleasure all rolled into one. With us it's like they've bought a house, they keep it in good repair, mow the lawn regularly, take the landlord to task every now and again for not keeping the occupants in check, add a nice new extension, and will sell it on when the market's ready. No love put in, none taken out.

yeah.. you would think that a 200 mil investment thats reputedly worth 5-600mil now would be something you'd visit more than once a year. If it were a regular business you'd be over once a month or so.

cheap ****as! forgive the language but my work place has instigated this to save 10s of millions and then spend probably £150 per head on headsets to connect to lap tops for outlook based skype calls.

I don't think he'll be given til Xmas.

With the threat of Klopp over his head, he could be gone a lot sooner.

that could be totally irrelevant to FSG.

It is really a question of where in performance is the line drawn
