There is strong rumour that Brendan Rodgers is being touted by Tottenham to take the place of Arry, should he depart for the England job! There is no doubt that Chelsea OB Brendan has done one hell of a job at Swansea with modest resources at his disposal! He did a great job with our juniors and reserves as well. I know he's not a foreigner--but what other reason could there be for us not opening the door for him here? With the likelihood of big money transfers being a thing of the past-he could be potentially working with players he has brought along since their childhood! The special one apart --he'd get my vote!
Jewell got Wigan to 10th and then nearly relegated them in their second Premier League season. Coppell got Reading to 8th and got them relegated the following season. Coyle was highly regarded this time last year but I don't think anyone challenging for top 4 would want any of those managers now. Brendan still has a lot to learn and prove at this level before he earns a shot at a top club, if he went to Spurs I'd be very disappointed and if he went to Chelsea I'd be very pleased.
