Here is a video of Rodgers talking about it: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19752693 Personally I think referees do have a clear issue with Suarez and I think they are awful towards him. People say it is reputation but I dont think that can be said. Suarez cut the diving out a long long time ago. Refs have been unfair towards him since last year, and I think its connected to the Evra thing above all else. Suarez does not deserve this treatment. Opinions?
The problem is that Suarez does exaggerate contact. But why does he do this? Because he doesn't get the decisions in the first place. There was an example against WBA - Yesil was clearly fouled but stayed on his feet. But the referee carried on play. The ref didn't signal advantage, he just simply didn't see it as a foul. The chance didn't amount to anything and that was it.
My only issue with this is the timing. This should have been done prior to the Man Utd game to try and get a bit of influence in THAT game, much like Fergie did with his comments around penalties. (abracadabra!) Look at the run of fixtures we have coming up, is the referee's influence going to be as important against Norwich, Stoke and Reading (no offence intended) apose to Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd...? We should be beating the former sides no matter how the referee performs, that is not the case with the latter teams!
Do like his style, doesn't get too shirty post match interview and give the media an open door, then makes his point to the appropriate body. Not sure it will make a blind bit of differance! Have to agree regarding Saurez, think he stopped any blatent diving long ago, now just needs to stop appealing! Am worried that because of his reputation earlier in the year and the general vilification he was receiving, no one noticed he didn't get booked that much considering. This season booked a lot and just wondering if the frustration is coming through, can't blame him a reaction from all the s**t he has had, or maybe just frustrated at the teams start to the season, don't know.
I had my appendix out four days ago and am home and eating muesli, high fibre drinks, yogurts, etc. as I dont want to have to, how shall I say this, create too much presure when visiting the loo. So thanks for that RHC! I am now thinking, does Bacon and egg barm adorned with lots of beans count as high fibre, may get away with it, or just show some willpower and wait a week.
Didn't KD say & do something similar with the refs last year? While BR might be right if you want to change Refs mind about Suarez specifically then you don't want to give them an out by intimating they are now going to dive. As said above. It's not so much Suarez going to ground too easily it's the way in which he protests at the refs afterwards. Lets do a United if anything; get Suarez (or whoever it is who gets fouled) to shut his mouth & have Gerrard constantly in the refs face demanding action. He's our captain after all.
The beans might but the grease might not be to good, so you may want to be girly and poach those eggs. If barm means sandwich, I just had the same. Though I had ketchup, not brown sauce. I'm glad Rodgers didnt pull our a Rafa style list!
Just stick your fingers down your throat after eating it, best of both worlds then No offence intended to any one that suffers or may know someone that suffers from this condition
Now there's a plan Of course the downside for you lot of me being stuck at home is having to read all the drivel I've been posting because I am bored senseless!
bbc "Brendan Rodgers bemoans referee decisions" He wasn't bemoaning anything in that interview. BBC has it's own agenda, all the talk of Terry is "we must now move on" and in the same breath reminding us Suarez was charged and what he was charged for With BBC Its more subtle than other media sources but it's clearly there.
Why dont you lot just play football, instead of moaning about refs. This is a dirty, low tactic by rodgers, and if liverpool are awarded a dodgy penalty tomorrow on the basis of this underhand meeting with the ref, us Norwich fans will be up in arms!!!your manager has admitted to telling his players to cheat!! Brings the whole of football into disribute and LFC to a new low.
A barm is a large bun in this neck of the woods. And you're a heathen putting ketchup on egg and bacon
He just cant keep his nose out(although hes correct about the respective punishments). http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-John-Terry-may-view-four-game-ban-as-lenient Sky spent most of yesterday trying not to say what Terry had actually been found guilty of, and like you said the BBC's wording shows their agenda when reporting on LFC. It's no coincidence that since the BBC moved their entire football department from London to Media City Salford a few months ago that the unfavourable headlines are more visible.
