Brendan has sparked off a war of words with Arsene Wenger by apparently saying 'they have no class'

Sorry, but isn't that like a German saying 'you aren't funny'

    Great analogy that :)

They promised Suarez he could leave if he wanted to if they didn't qualify for the Champions League and received a bid over £40 million.
    Who's the one "playing games"?

What goes around comes around! ;)

Arsenal are class personified - have been for decades. For me, Suarez' burning desire to get the hell out of there is an indictment of Rogers and his coaching staff. That Arsenal are willing to pay that amount of money for him speaks volumes as to the players ability, and the club's intention to be competitive.

I know a few Germans and they are actually really funny guys !!..<laugh>

Brenden needs to be careful here IMO. I don't think it will take a lot for the Kop to give him stick and even they have picked up on his dressing up of situations, as the dust has settled over his poaching of our player/players im back to liking the bloke now.

Wenger is a bit of an arsehole anyway and both Rodgers and the Frenchman should be taking a leaf out of Laudrups book and learn a bit about how to be respectful, insightful and polite .
Both of them lack class,Brenden lass so than Wenger in this situation.

Rodgers has to do what he can to try and keep his best players,at least publically anyway so I don't really blame him for his words. Wenger while being a great manager for Arsenal has IMO taken his eye of the ball in recent years,it could be because there are financial constraints on him or it could be that he actually doesn't believe in paying over the odds for players but to me he looks like he is running out of ideas at Arsenal.

Both good coaches though but both have separate agendas to push over this situation . :)

Fair point Mabon .... but 'Pool have acquired Aspas and others, not counting Borini, in case Suarez goes. You would think they have covered their bases.

why all the anti brendan rubbish, why cant he run his club without you jumping on the band wagon slagging him off....you forget easily just what he did for us and gave us 100% too. Its none of your business what any other club does as you can bet your life he will know exactly what he is doing as we undoubtedly knows nothing about the situation. Brendan has just completed his first season and after a shaky start getting to know the players he finished the season on a high and better than anyone expected. He still has two more seasons left and when he improves again which he will then he is on course to challenge for the title at the end of his contract....We should be praising our ex managers and not slagging them off after what they did at our club before they were wanted by bigger clubs....

Just like it isn't his business to discuss the Bale and Madrid saga when questioned over his own player.

Mabon as for you comment, you could well be right there as without Suarez Liverpool will really struggle, as Cotinhuo apart, the players they have recruited are nowhere near the level of Suarez.

Wenger has been polite and respectful towards Liveropool when asked about this whole situation.

Rodgers on the other has questioned the 'size' of our club, attacked Wenger and generally come cross as a complete bell-end.

Liverpool will be lucky to get TOP 6 under this guy.

That's how I have seen it. Wenger confirmed the other day in a post match conference that Arsenal had made a bid for Suarez but that any other discussions are for the clubs involved and that he was not going to discuss the player further. It's also very ironic that he questions the 'class' of the club given the very recent antics they have been involved in and the possible renegading on a promise with Suarez regarding allowing him to leave if a 40million+ bid comes in and they don't qualify for CL football.

The more comments brenda is making regarding saurez ,the more he appears to sound desperate if you like especially after it was announced that saurez was considering legal action, saurez will be a massive hole to fill if he leaves liverpool<ok>

You're right. If he didn't think he was leaving, he should just keep his trap shut. The more he says, the more he pushes Suarez out of the club. The comments about Arsenal being 'classless' are just the bitter rantings of a manager who knows he's losing his best player. He really should show some class about it <ok>

I personally thought the hypocrisy of saying that Arsenal lacked class by bidding an amount that triggered a clause in Suarez contract. Anyone remember Joe Allen's £15m clause that Brendan would have known about and then used.

Not least of all after he said he wouldn't poach any of our players.

Not anti-Brendan in any way, but people in glass houses...

Why is anyone surprised at this two faced git's antics , Wenger as Bear points out imo, has been extremely professional, but Brenda doesn't seem to like his own tactics, well boo bloody hoo pal . Brenda goes back on his word, which of course we all know is worthless to Suarez so this will run and run, and Mabon, I totally agree with your viewpoint pal......

Don't forget he also derailed the Gylfi deal for us aswell. He deserves all he gets.

PISKIE how much do you think your club are prepared to pay for him? Think it will go over the £50million mark? It is interesting that he was the only first team squad member that didn't go to the Gerrard dinner Saturday night <whistle>

There's only one thing could be better than this .... JJ scoring a hat trick at Anfield on his return there.

Well in that case im sorry for getting it wrong, I aint read all the stuff, just jumped to conclusions a little bit I guess <ok>

I tend to that with Brenden and others these days, its newspaper/media overload ! I find them less interesting as they repeat the same old stuff all the time so I very often give things the once over lol :)

Dai, if you feel that strong about it not being our business then why is it you feel the need for example to post on the cardiff on how they need to bring in players etc .ity may be rubbish to you but others obviously don't feel the same way .

To be truthful, apart from comedy value, I couldn't give a toss about it, as it has sweet FA to do with us.

I know he is a bit of a political snake, but thats his and Pools concern now. Without him, I doubt we would have got promoted. Without him scurrying off, we would never have had Laudrup, Michu, Chico, Bony etc and a League Cup/Europa Place.

So even if he did his best to screw us over, thank you Brenda :D. To the Pool faithful....good luck :D

    In Laudrup we trust.
