Fair play to Rodgers for manning up and admitting he was wrong http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-called-congratulate-Chelsea-Anfield-win.html
I can see Mourinho in his office thinking about Rodgers. "I taught him everything he knows, but not everything I know, that is key"
As Jose clearly says he congratulated him and not apologised to him let me give you the different meanings of each word Congratulate - give (someone) one's good wishes when something special or pleasant has happened to them. Apologise - express regret for something that one has done wrong. --------- You have a CL semi final tonight by the way
Or maybe one of our players slipped and that had the biggest bearing on the game No sour grapes from us though, you won so fair play
DR - appreciate the "no sour grapes" comment, although I know that hasn't applied to everyone. Just one thing though, it was Gerrard's mis-control of the ball that was the problem. He only slipped after he made that mistake, trying to rectify the situation.
True but one would imply misfortune (ala Terry C.L final) and the other implies poor technique (ala Gerrard every time he plays us )
I know, I just wanted you to relive the moment one more time. All those years ago when he didn't sign for us......I swear he did really
I reckon he is playing for us. One goal in 36 games... but two vital assists and own goals. Gerrard never plays well against his Chelsea
As usual, more vitriol between the fans than the managers, who after all have to face the media when still hyped or angry or frustrated or all three. The manager's job is man management, team management and media management as much as it is forming tactics and leading training. Your job is your team and you hope your friends understand, especially the one in the same job who all do exactly the same thing. This though does not fuel forums or sell newspapers. My concern is for the poor souls who still see and hear everything in black and white, it doesn't bode well for our society. The British used to have an innate sense of double meaning and irony. I blame American music and TV. Soon teams won't be parking the bus, they'll park the trailer. Y'all hear me?
It was a heat of the moment thing I'm sure, but credit to Brendan, for having the goodness to aplogise!
Don't know if it's been used before, but with all the talk of Stevie G slipping, thought id remind you of this one. It happens to the best of us, some at a worse time than others. Hard lines tonight though lads, would have enjoyed seeing you in the final. For what it's worth I can see you spending well in the summer, enforcing that front line and grabbing silverware next season. Peace out Big Daddy Christ.
Brendan's last laugh! He's already learnt how to attack and win matches. He didn't need maureen to tell him how. Maureen proves himself to have no class yet again. Telephone calls are normally private and confidential but obviously not for Maureen. pathetic little man
Pleased Jose was not bitter and honest about our defeat. A class response. To be fair, Brendan has apologised for his Sunday outburst
