So what are we all thinking is going to win tonight ? 5.20 Churchill MEEZNAH WIN 8/1 & HARRISON'S CAVE E.W 20/1 A race I am interested in from a punting point of view rather than just to watch. I like the look of two against the home team. Meeznah is a class act on her day and at 8/1 she offers some fair value for the win. The step up in trip should suit and her latest effort behind Dancing Rain was some high class form. The home team don't look strong so for E.W purposes Harrisons Cave may well be able to plug on for a place, this is a slow horse but he is a progressive 3yo and Aidan O'Brien took this 2 years ago with Man Of Iron who was also a nice price
Backed strong suit after last effort in uk but no. things have seemed not to have gone his way - missed crucial work on the course, bad draw etc... Backed sarafina for the arc but not sure if I will get involved today... Can't have SYT but flat out looks interesting...
Good luck Expert Witness. I like Strong Suit also, lets hope he can still get the job done Uncle Moe in the classic for me at the minute but yet to place my bet will do it later online
Looks really tough to find winners Tam good luck with Brigantin certainly think we have the winner from our combined 3 selections in the race. Don't like the home stayers
6.02 - FINALE 6.37- BIG DRAMA 7.21 - Holliday For Kitten & California Flag both E.W 8.01 - Willburn 8.45 St Nicholas Abbey 9.25 Daddy Long Legs E.W 10.07 Strong Suit 11.00 Uncle Moe
Perfect trip for Wrote in the Juvenile Turf. Big boom for the competition! Good to get one on the board for the Europeans.
Right lads, I'm heading for an Indian in a bit so need your shared advice before I go! I'm limiting myself to one bet at this BC and I've narrowed my fancies down to either Sarafina in Turf at 5-2 or Goldi at 13-8... Which one should my money go on?!
Can't say Beeforsalmon because I don't fancy either personally. Hope you pick the right one and have a nice meal
I agree with 3 of RVs - Holiday for Kitten, Daddy Long Legs and Strong Suit and backed them at 25/1, 12/1 and 7/1 respectively with Laddies. Put up Holiday for Kitten at Royal Ascot where she was better than the bare result in 13th. If DLL takes to the dirt I think he'll run a huge race and Strong Suit at 7s is just an insane price to me! Also have backed Ruler on Ice in the big one of the night and the 16/1 on offer is much too big
Oddy, it's a dilemma as obviously it'd be fantastic to see her deliver and the draw and that's in her favour..so the head and the heart are in agreement..I think Aye Goldi it is, backed her last two years in this so she owes me nowt whereas Sarafina has never carried my money. Good luck guys, I'll possibly be on later
I'm in Nass. 7.21: HOLIDAY FOR KITTEN 25/1 e.w Entered at Royal Ascot so presumably thought highly of. Bounced back last time, drawn well, and form franked last night with Musical Romance's victory. 8.01: Trappe Shot 5/1 Looks really solid barring the draw, but usually runs on well anyway and can quicken from off the pace. Will take a good ride though. 8.45: ST NICHOLAS ABBEY 11/2-Ran really well in the Arc considering how sweaty and worked up he was in the prelims, drawn well to make this a stamina test, was scintilating at a similar tight track at Chester, and I just think this race will suit him to the ground if O'Brien is bold enough to give him that sort of a ride. I think he's a talented young jockey and might make a name for himself by stealing the Turf for Ballydoyle. 9.25: CREATIVE CAUSE 6/1- Grade 1 winner and would be unbeaten but for a horrendously troubled run where he was squeezed out, bumped and hampered and just unable to recover before gaining revenge next time out. Looks pretty smart and today is a good chance to showcase that progress. 10.07: BYWORD 8/1 (NAP)- Top class performer on his day, and should have a race run to suit today. Will need to come with a rattling late run, but Strong Suit's draw means we might get a good early pace as Hughes tries to get a prominent position, Goldikova will track the speed all the way round and will be there to fire at with a furlong to go. Byword has the stamina to kick in late and he travelled like a dream when beating Champion Stakes winner Cirrus Des Aigles, and that is superb form. Big price, mainly due to his defeats to Goldikova in the past, but this year is not quite the same, and he can reverse form with the wonderful mare. 11.00: TO HONOUR AND SERVE 12/1 (NB)- I really would love to see So You Think win this, but surely when you look at the race in depth, it absolutely screams of pace- so many of them want to be on the speed, including So You Think, that someone can win this with a rattling late run. For that reason, I wanted to pick a horse that has run on strongly in its races, and one who is capable of running on the outside. This horse does like to be prminent, but is iften raced on the outside and then runs on strongly late to take the spoils. The draw might be a blessing in disguise here- let those on the speed cut each-other's throats and then pull wide for a clear run home. The perfect position for So You Think IMO would be to be travelling around 5th position. He possessed the stamina to take advantage of the electric pace.
