Hangeland is out of contract next summer, and it was reported on Norwgian TV that no new contract offer or discussion has yet taken place with him. As it seems we will need 2 new central backs now Gabbi, OneSize and Ramage have all been released, perhaps Hangeland could be a good bet as one of them. MH has been his Manager at Fulham and must know all about him. I reckonn myself he is a much better CB than Anton. Anyone else?

Would be a great signing if possible, but would you leave Fulham to come and join QPR? Probably not.

Do you really mean this? We might as well give up now if we can't make the Rs more attractive than them.

Why would he move from a team that's finished 9th to a team that's finished 17th? In the future, our aim has to be more attractive than teams like Fulham, but for now, I can't see why he would make the move..

MH would tell him QPR have ambition, Fulham do not<laugh>. Certainly with all that is happening now at our Club, the first part of that statement can easily be supported.

I seem to remember we signed a certain Bobby Zamora from Fulham in January at a time when we were in free fall, if we can persuade their best player to join us then, then why not Hangeland??

Because we are on the up, with a vision and Fulham are stagnant with a statue of an alleged *****phile at their ground. Plus we probably pay more.

Zamora wasn't their best player. Not even close. If Hangeland was available there would be a queue of clubs sniffing around ahead of us.

Hangeland that's a good call. I'd take him any day of the week. Good player.

I'm not saying he's not a good player but people are saying we shouldn't be going for players with no re-sale value then saying we should sign a guy who will be 31 when the season starts.

I don't get this obsession with running Tony's business for him. What we pay for players, their wages, their age/ resale value etc are decisions that are taken with the whole business in mind. Sure we can have an opinion on this, but we really don't have the information to make judgements. And we never know what we have really paid or what they really earn anyway.
Opinions on what we think of prospects as players, on the other hand, are perfectly valid. Hangeland is a good, solid premiership CB. I just want to see the best players the club can afford, and preferably increasing numbers of homegrown youngsters, wearing the Hoops and playing fast, attacking passing football.

its to do with wages concerning players like brede, dont believe mark hughes left ffc because lack of ambition that was a smoke screen, he thought he was getting a top four job, like hes agent said in his statement, kia what ever his name, said my client is leaving ffc to broaden his sights on a top 4 club in england or europe and manage in the champs league, everyone in the media slated him as well as other rangers fans i know, very good manager yes, but a ignorant person, so when he went into a relegation dog fight, a lot of people wanted him to mess up, but the man is a winner and will take rangers into the top ten this season
