    I agree the way we have played in cup matches in the last few years we would struggle to beat Whitehouse Junior school in a tiddly winks match for an eggcup

    I'm seriously underwhelmed by yet another meaningless trophy.

    Will this become an annual event played alternately at Ashton Gate and Ibrox? That would allow City's vast Scottish and North of England Army to fill two sides of Ibrox just like the Jocks will at Ashton Gate this July!

    Sounds to me like the "Blackthorn Cup" is more likely to be City v A different opponent each season.

    If (unlikely) it was Rangers v City then I would go to Ibrox
