just a quick question to the chelsea fans. How come no one rates Bosingwa anymore? I think he's a terific right back, great run and cross for your second yesterday. why is this fellow never in the team, on the right wing for instance?

I rated him a lot when he joined us, some moments of magic in his first season such as his corker against WBA! He went off the boil for ages from then on and last season (and some of pre season) he was absolutely dire. Somehow over the last two games he appears to have gained a bit of form and is even keeping Ivan out of the team! Played awesome against Stoke and provided some good play yesterday.

This guy has got some tricks in his locker, something we have been lacking of late. Watched the youtube videos of him and he looks very good. Need a CM now. Happy days.

When talking with spuds (as apparently they were in for Juan Mata too, as if he would ever go there) they were saying that if they signed Mata it wouldn't mean that Luka Modric would be coming as they played in different positions. Now that we are going to sign him, they'll probably argue that there is no reason for us to sign Modric anymore as we have satisfied our needs for a creative player. Absolute dicks.

Really happy about this though. Should make Malouda take his finger out of his arse.

I see mata as more of a replacement for Zhirkov. I.e someone to compete for that left side of midfield/attack slot with the likes of Malouda.

I'm 99% sure this wont end our interest in Modric or the need for a creative central midfielder of his ilk.

Really happy that maa has joined us subject to a medical... ive seen him play for valencia and he really is a quality player. A winger is what we needed and we've acted to get him. Hopefully this will be the end now for kalou. AVB subbed him off after 30 mins v west brom so hopefully he realises he isnt up to our standard.
Anyway lets now hope we can get modric who 'isnt in the right mental state' to play against united....

Very good Signing for you lot, apparantly he will be on a weekly wage of £62,500 £ 3 million a year. Well in todays market youve pulled off a cracking deal there. No doubt you will also nab Modric and come deadline day 11.58 we will be scratching around trying to get Joey Cole on loan :embarrassed:

Most exciting signing Chelsea have made since Arjen Robben. Chelsea might actually be entertaining to watch now.

Not sure where he is going to play, but would love to see a front three of Mata Torres Sturridge. Stick Modric in the centre of the pitch and we will be a much better team than one we saw in the first half on Saturday

A fair few need a kick up the arse...whether competition for places gives them that or a big name out the door I'm not sure, but some new blood will hopefully give us some impetous<ok>

Yes new blood is needed, but the right type of new blood. This fella Mata could be another Mutu or he just might be our new Zola. I am hoping for the latter.

If Mutu hadn't gone off the rails he was set to be a legend.

    Never mind.

    £15m please Adrian<laugh>

I agree, this potentially could be amazing. So much pace which we have been crying out for. Ramieres, Lampard and Modric as the mid3????

Amazing signing, have seen him a lot and his got everything, knows how to thread through a pass, can run at defenders with the ball, can crack a good shot, already knows torres very well, Mata-Torres-Sturridge would be great because they all have great pace, can beat defenders and score. I still think we need that midfield player though because i don't think we will be complete otherwise, we need a modric or a sneidjer or a nasri so hopefully we can get modric or even moutinho from porto, but things are looking up, AVB is buying some great talent for the future. Romelu is a very good player as well and lukaku is one of the most promising strikers i've seen play, his young, his got pace, his got a great finish and his built like a brick. All we could do with is getting rid of kalou and maybe anelka just so it doesn't cause no unrest in the dressing room ( having lukaku, drogba, torres, sturridge, anelka, kalou, mata - all of who like to play in the front 3 ) A lineup i'd like to see in midfield would be malouda-modric-lampard, then mata-torres-sturridge, think that would be perfect for us.

Also the way mata came out and said he turned down spurs and arsenal because he wants to play for a club where he can win trophies made it all the more sweeter haha, bad news about rajkovic, shame he couldn't get a work permit, would really have liked to have been able to kept him from what i saw in pre-season looked very good, saying that though the way bosingwas playing i think ivanovic will be fighting for centreback with alex and luiz
