And here is the statement from the club....

    http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/trash-no-appeal-1462943.aspx

TRASHorfield will not be taking their case to the Court of Appeal
We have this afternoon learned that TRASHorfield have confirmed that they are not making an application to the Court of Appeal regarding Sainsbury’s plans to build on the current Memorial Stadium site.

The group have already been denied the right to appeal the result of the Judicial Review, that cleared Bristol City Council of any wrong doing in the planning process.

This now clears the way for the club to finalise the outstanding contractual issues which have been slowed down because of this process.

We are delighted that TRASHorfield have finally accepted the democratic decision that has been made.

Not only is the UWE Stadium vital to the future of Bristol Rovers, the projects on both sites will provide much needed job opportunities for the local community.

We now have to assess the financial impact this delay has had on the Stadium project and do what we can to minimise the effect of these losses.

We would again like to thank everyone who has supported us through this process, and we will keep you up to date on any progress with the project as and when it happens.

    Yesssssssssssssssssss!

At long ****ing last! Now we can get on with building a stadium fit for the Conference, I mean Championship!

"TRASH not appealing" - you're damn right. I don't think I've ever seen such an unappealing lot! A plague on all their houses!

Great news - like BB says - we need to make sure we're playing at a suitable level for our shiny new stadium !

They've done it with very bad grace, hitting out in all directions.
I'm one of those who has occasionally voted Green in local elections,
but NEVER NEVER again. I don't care if Radice has backed off, they have
shown themselves to be opportunistic and anti-democratic. SODS!

if this dont give the players a rocket up their arse then nothing will. i would be giving my all every game to warrant a new contract so i can be part of the team who plays at a brand new stadium. then again i would be giving my all in every game anyway regardless of a new stadium or not.

so hopefully the players respond and keep us up and that clarke gets it right 1st time next season by getting promotion where we can then start the 2015-16 season in UWE in a higher division where attendance will be naturally higher as well.

I agree. They are not very appealing. Unfortunately they did achieve their objective to put a spanner in the works. Fortunately they no longer exist!!!!
