A NOT606 EXCLUSIVE !!! License set to be granted. Tranfer embargo to be upheld. No more word on other sanctions.
This means that there will be a transfer embargo? How the **** does that work? You have hardly any players. Clean slate needed. Bit of a blood lust going on. Truth is that Scottish football needs Gers and Celtic. Get the dual contracts nonsense sorted out and strip whatever titles need stripped and draw a line under it. Then leave it at that.
I think rangers should be punished for past sins if they wanna cling to the history of the old club, but I agree- the embargo is too much. They already have few players and more will go. They need to be replaced. Restricting them to under 18s and lee mccullach is just unreasonable. At least an immediate embargo.
It's all a bit hazy in my head but the punishment of the transfer embargo is due to bringing the game into disrepute - was this due to the monies owed to Hearts etc? Further punishments to follow for other offences (unpaid income tax etc)? If so they should be banned from registering players until all football debts are paid. They should then be banned from paying transfers in installments for X seasons. Most transfer fees are paid this way so it would be damaging in terms of players they can afford but still allow some players to be signed.
Just strip the titles if the dual contracts thing finds guilty don't bother with anything else. Get the unnamed investers named for the fans sake, after what gone before you need a bit of clarity on who is pulling the strings.
To be fair for the next 2/3 seasons you don't need to spend a lot to go up. Depends how you want to do it though. Do you buy journeymen who will do to get promotion but then are dumped the further you go as too old/not good enough. Or do you invest in talented kids who are good enough for division 3 but who can develop to be good enough for the spl also
He's still there along with McCulloch, Alexander, Wallace and Bedoya. I always thought Broadfoot would stay despite division 3 and I'm happy he has. He'll be a decent player in what we're trying to achieve. Mind you the one that surprised me leaving was McGregor. I understand why he left, but I thought he might stay in that Goalies usually have more longevity career wise. At least Alexander will get his chance now and he's more than capable. Don't know if Wallace will stay though it would be great if he did.
Contract expired. I'm sure he would have stayed if he was offered a deal, I don't rate him that much but a few seasons in the lower leagues could have changed that.
