Didn't see this coming at all. He's definitely finishing his career here now. Good move though I guess, his experience will be invaluable and he's probably a great role model.

Careful you don't drop the pen! I am pleased about this, not sure he is going to get much first team action, but I am happy to have him on board.
He probably intends to be a GK coach here in the future, and is happy to see out his playing days as our 2nd choice.
Kelvin is a fantastic pro and has been a great servant to Saints and he must be very well liked and respected in the changing room.
you can tell he's a right character from videos on saintsplayer and from what the other players say about him. same for jaidi! we kept him on as a scout didnt we. its important to keep kelvin as during this transition period where we be looking to fill the squad with premier league level players, having a few people who have been in the squad for a while will maintain a level of stability that we will need. keeping the likes of lallana, schneiderlin, david and lambert is key. lallana and schneiderlin might be young bit i expect they have gt well over 300 apps for saints already, theyre experienced lads!
Glad they're wearing their Eterna watches. Great news, fantastic servant to Southampton FC, and who knows? Maybe a future "boot room" manager in the asking?

Good to repay such loyalty, but obviously not done out of charity. Must be seen as a role model and future coach. Pleased for him.
Absolutely right, these guys embody the character of the club really and although he obviously isn't going to get many games, I'm pleased Kelvin is sticking around.
