Morning all A strange weekend which gave us a well deserved point in a very late 101st minute equalizer with much been said about it on the match day thread. I will just add that Ayling, Klich, Bamford and Harrison could have done better and Bamford had the chances to win the game. That said it was the same old problem of dominating the match with no end product The EFL have bottled Spygate and lots of speculation as to why which them sees the media come out with loads of stories about our spy being sent out on the road with tools and camouflage kit and spied on every club. My view is we haven't done nothing wrong so the EFL are going to make up some new rules for next season and will give us a slap on the wrist. Just posted an updated loan watch in the sticky and a couple of things to point out. O'Connor WTF is wrong with him? sent home from Blackpool and now cant even make the squad at Bradford City. Stories about LDB being sent back but he started again yesterday and did 80 minutes before being subbed off. His replacement caused the opposition to equalise. Saiz has started the last 2 games for his new outfit but subbed off late in both games. Another failure seems to be Tyler Denton who has struggled at P/Boro to even make the bench but got a start on saturday against Donny where he was sent off for a foul on Wilks? Is it time for Ayling to sit one out as he hasnt been at it since he returned from injury. All looks good for Jack Clarke as he was released from hospital late Saturday night and was taken to TA where Rob Price and his medical team stayed the night with him before allowing home yesterday. he will have this week off before having some tests but seemingly nothing sinister and if it was heart he would have been kept in ozzy
just read your loan up-date Doc could it be that paudie is in a sulk about his loans maybe? i don't mean bank loans
Morning all. If Paudie is sulking it is not smart behaviour. The right attitude can be the difference between success and failure.
Morning all Some of these young lads lose what they've got, through problems off the pitch, which leads to problems with ability on it Not saying it's the case wirh O'Connor but his career seems to be in freefall for some reason or other. Too much too young?
Morning all. Delighted with Saturdays point, Very disappointed at recent form. Re lack of finishing, its been there all season. Struggled wins over teams we totally dominated. Unfortunately, all the coaching in the world wont turn an average player into a wonderful finisher. If it was that easy, anyone could become a professional footballer. The tactics and fitness will only get you so far no matter how hard we wish it to be otherwise. We may still have enough to get over the line though. Next two weeks will make it a little clearer. Re spygate, we were stupid to be at it as admitted by Bielsa but far more stupid to get caught. Amateurish
I spy with my little eye another week gone by. Morning all. A point vs Middlesboro was better than none but really must convert all this possession into a decent run of wins otherwise we will be caught and end up in the play-offs which none of us want. Sunny day down and off to Heart Smart class and walking there to get my steps up for the day.
good morning from what i saw of the game at boro it could have gone either way.Ayling as much to blame as anyone as he seems to be lacking in fitness . cover has been needed for right back all season because Beradi became spare centre back. as for spygate it's a joke on the part of the E.F.L. they are asking for more info and it's probably from us.when is Bielsa going to learn to shut up and say nothing.i do not beleive for one minute there is one club in the champ who would not delight in us getting punished.just because they did not writa a complaint will not stop them wetting their panties with joy .if bielsa get's punished then it would be a great motivator for the team.i think we will not hear anything till after Swansea on wednesday. not really interested in our loaned out players as i think none will be with us in the future.the exeption being Saiz of course who we could take a hit on releasing him on a free after he fails to make it in Spain.
Speaking of punishment we should see Bolton go into administration by Thursday unless a deal to sell the club can be done. The bandit who owns the club has done nothing for it and is hoping to sell the club including all debts and still make money. HMRC have a winding up order in place too. If the prat refuses to do a deal he walks away owing nothing but the club goes bump. Still waiting to see what happens to Birmingham City too who still have transfer embargo and are in big trouble under FFFP rules which could result in a 30 point deduction at worst. That could mean Reading or even Ipswich are saved
Afternoon all... All bases covered by previous posters, can’t add much to any of what’s been said to be honest.
I watched the Norwich match and i had to cool down and thought it best not to post as i could have slated quite a few of the players performance wise. As for the Boro match we could have gone in at half time 2 down, thought Philips was solid in front of the back four and broke down many dangerous attacks where we were found out, especially Ayling out of position and us being wide open down our right. We dont seem to be hitting the net as often as we should, there are chances being created but if Bamford keeps free from injury then he will start hitting the net. One thing i am confused with is Izzy Brown!! why have him on the bench, get him warmed up and then dont use him, as far as i was concerned Boro were on there last legs and needed someone to come on for Harrison, Shackleton in my view was not the right sub, after saying that we got an equaliser and a valuable point, but to be honest odd point here and there is not going to cut it and we shall drop out of the top two and playoffs are not where we want to be IMO.
