They reckon it will help them get their top four place back permanently, they seem to forget it will put them a million miles behind United (History) and City (Current Superstars)

If they do get a tv deal all to themselves then every time they play away from home the may not be able to show the game because they will need the other side consent. Also the other teams consent may be needed for home games.

This would be devastating for the English game. We are already bordering on a point where only one of 2 or 3 teams can win the league and the only way to break into this group is to throw money at it like Man City do.

They quote Real Madrid and Barca negotiating their own rights but look at the state of La Liga. Those 2 are so far ahead of the rest it is becoming boring. Very little chance of Deportivo and Valencia catching them as they did some years back with the difference in income!

Once again its the big clubs looking after themselves and not giving a monkeys about anyone else. Liverpool have fallen off the pace a bit so automatically they look for a way to safeguard their position at the expense of everyone else. These clubs need to forget that without being able to play the likes of Bolton and Wigan they would have a 7 or 8 team league where interest would soon dwindle. It really riles me this.

SAF has stated that he agrees with sharing the money equally, and liverpool would need 14 of the clubs to agree to any changes....

in other words, this would be dead from the start if Liverpool made an official request for the rules to be changed.

So they feel they are getting left behind Europes elite.

So they want to be able to catch them up via selling TV rights.

So this will then allow a greater gap between them and the 'lesser' English clubs.

This stinks to me as nothing more than protectionism. Their recent failure to qualify for Europes top competition is the single reason why they are being left behind. Its is only unfair because it is happening to LFC, screw the other English clubs, as long as LFC are OK.
