Here's a thought, bernie and cvc own FOM, but not the teams, therefore they are ok to sell the tv rights for F1 to sky. Now Colin Kolles reckon the teams would get an extra million each, as I said in another thread, whoopee do. To HRT a lot of money to Mclaren and RedBull probably a weekends schmoozing. Now I remember the teams threatening to do a break away formula a couple of years back, then backed down.
What happens if the teams decide that with all the negative press F1 is no longer viable with sky and they carry out their threat from the other year and do a breakaway, bearing in mind the Concorde agreement expires next year.
Bernie could have just lined his pockets taken a load of money off sky for the tv rights and then the teams go and form a breakaway after a year, especially if sky try and force something on Fota to replace the Concorde agreement.

Or is that me having a nasty streak in me thinking bernie would be so low :D one can only hope.

Formula 1 is not a sport, it's a brand/business. Bernie is doing what I would have done because he wants to make the most money.

Of course he does and yes I can understand that. My point is he can only sell the tv rights to F1, what is stopping the teams from making a breakaway formula, then sky own the rights to ..... F...all, except maybe watching HRT go round the track.

What stops FOTA making GP1 for example or another name. Bernie has his money sky only bought the tv rights not the teams.
