Brazil look hot favourites now for the world cup, but Germany and Holland will have their say I reckon next year. Spain reminded me of Barcelona at Bayern munich, where they were pushed back most off the time and Brazil were fitter and coped with the heat better. How do they keep bringing in class players through year after year ?.

I agree with the OP. Both Barca and Madrid were shown up by German sides in CL semis when they were hurried and pressed they were next to nothing really. This applies to Messi in particular who seems to get hat tricks vs benidorm, the seychelles et cetera but against top class players he's awful. Can anyone remember him in the world cup cos I can't. He's a 'tony mccoy' but no 'ruby walsh'.

Neither seemed capable of defending. If I was Spain, I'd be concerned where their goals are coming from. They don't really have a striker in their pomp.
