http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/feb/05/scotland-brazil-london Come on, hope this all gets finalised so I can have a wee trip to London.
why not Hampden since it's only about an hour in a plane up the road and you are guaranteed to fill it
****ing cheeky Sassenach bastards. When was the last time the Shortbread Army caused any trouble anywhere? Aye a few of them never got on a flight because they were pished last year. Big deal.
The Brazilian national team are sponsored by Emirates Mick. They play a good few friendlies there. Still ****ing ridiculous that they expect Scotland fans to travel to London to watch a game when we've got 2 stadiums in Scotland that hold more than the Emirates.
Money also plays a part in this, because the SFA would need to cover Brazil's expenses etc. Apparently the Argentina friendly cost the SFA a **** load of money because of the crowd. The Emirates is probably offering the game at a price which wont cost a fortune.
Who really wants to pay ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã25 to see Scotland get a pumping off Brazil/Argentina in a mid-week friendly anyway? Going to Scotland games is purely for masochists. One of the main reasons I've stopped going. Plus the SFA are a ****ing joke, that Czech game at Hampden they didn't even put the boilers on for Bovril at half the food stands. Had to queue for 20 minutes to get 2 Bovrils and a Tea. It was -2 degrees that night.
This is all back to front if you ask me. Who is the home team & why are they playing it at the Emirates ? Iôm English & if England was playing Brazil in Scotland Iôd be f****ed if Iôd travel up there to watch them, Scotland v England may be but Brazil v England & why, if it must be in England, is it not at Wembley ? I mean if there are 160,000 Brazilians in London alone wouldônt it make sense ?
Cos they are offering ãããããããããããããããããããããã no other reason.
My understanding is that it is Brazil who are hosting the match. Therefore they pick the venue, but as the other postshave alluded, its down to cash just like everything else in footie these days.
They should be more worried about our behaviour. Personally, I'd rather have it at Hampden or not at all.
Hope England fans go to support Brazil..........as would the cheeky ginger skirt wearers if role were reversed
Well that was a load of mince. It's a sad state of affairs when people are pleased because 'we weren't embarrassed'. I don't care if it was Brazil. We should be aiming a bit higher than that.
