27 marathons in 27 days - raising more than £1.35 million for charity. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35856814
Obviously that's ridiculously impressive, though I still think Eddie's effort might top it just due to his age and condition compared to the 401 guy.
That is some bloody achievement. I don't think I could run one marathon spread across 27 days. At 54 there's hope for us all! He only got into seriously running a few years ago. I can't imagine the punishment and stress you put your body through doing that kind of extreme running. His joints and feet must be total agony at the end of it all. Well done though Eddie - magnificent.
Fantastic achievement of endurance. Not quite sure what those ultra conservative Afrikaans speakers of South Africa would have thought about his matching finger and toe nail varnish though. Probably "Blitty Piff"
Its an amazing achievement… the temperature etc… in regard of the above he said on the radio this has been much harder that the other event, because he has not had a day off where before he had something to look forward to. Ive been happy to donate. There is a guy who's done a marathon a day for a year though I believe.
