A paper (I think it was the Herald) ran a piece on memes Celtic fans had done about Sevco's difficulties recently - they took most of it down after complaints from dignified indignants - in particular, the one that raised the ire was a "Rangers not working" play on the famous Tory poster of lines at Labour Exchanges - the usual suspects on Twitter were on the verge of exploding over it - laughing at the common man losing his job etc. So, in light of that, and signing players reportedly on £5k a week, Chubby McMoist's latest bout of rhetoric seems even more hypocritical. So, if normal employees get made redundant, it's the fault of Rangers fans for not buying STs while they employ unneccessary rich people in Kyle, Sandaza and Shiels? This is absolute bullshit of the highest order. Pieman is basically admitting that their current strategy is unsustainable - they're throwing money at players while threatening redundancies. Snakes bellies get a hard time of it if they're compared to these inhabitants of the morality void.
Apologies. Full article is here http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/mccoist-moving-closer-to-green.18412304
Someone should take the Fat **** aside and inform him that maths is entirely unrelated to the issue and that arithmetic is in fact the science germane to the **** he is trying to talk between mouthfuls of bluenose burger.
Most of the Sevco fans lap up every word the tubby instigator excretes out his mouth. The only one on here I can think of who has actually questioned his ability and actions is Nev.
'The maths would indicate that if not enough season-ticket money is sold'. Pedantry over the use of maths/arithmetic aside, who is selling season ticket money?
I am. Send me two thousand of your Scottish pounds, I will send you enough cash to fund your season ticket
Let's say just one of the new players is on £5k a week. Now, I'm assuming that the £5k gets paid even when they're not playing (close season, after the third round of the cup etc) Now, I'll be generous with the ST prices - I know the club deck ones are over £500 but say the average is about £400 (still being generous). Even on these favourable terms, each of the new players wages is worth 650 season tickets each. But, naw, if season ticket sales drop, they're gonna sack the cooks and cleaners who are on £12k a year <fanny>
I **** highly in Wome with my wovewy wife, Incontinentia. Nah, I just changed it to bam Chapper up (worked, anaw)
Aren't the huns dropping season ticket prices this year? I think your £400 is more than generous, it's a ****in steal
OK, so if you don't even half the average price, that's over 1,000 STs for one player and from the players they have, it's a safe bet that at least: McElbows Black Shiels Kyle Sandaza Bedoya (and the other Yanks who are for the off anyway) ...are all on AT LEAST that. £5k a week equates to £260,000 a year roughly (if you're paying the PAYE and NI). So, if their four new boys are only on £5k a week, that's over £1,000,000 in wages right there. Aye, give the minimum wage teawomen her jotters No-one can defend this, surely?
I'm loath to mention a certain manager of The Rangers FC, chapper says half of my 16,000 posts are about him and/or The Rangers ergo I am obsessed. I'll PM you all my thoughts in case chapper is monitoring this thread with his Manchester calculator in hand.
They'd be better running a media ad showing the fat man holding a gun against a cute puppy's head ... "By a Season Book or Lucky gets it"
I am surprised that fat Sally should talk about their being problems if Princess Di or Mother Theresa took over Sevco (or whatever). Big problem both Lady Di and Mother Theresa are both dead and that could have caused problems with either of them been fit and capable. I can't imagine if Mother Thewresa had purchased the club that anyone would have attended the match on Tuesday, those that attended on Tuesday having been linked from attending to Mother Theresa's meetings in the past. Official figures of attendance over 38,000. Based on the validity of announcements by Charles Green over the past 8 weeks that means the actual attendance would have been appro. 28K. !8K attendance and 10k in on free tickets as possible investors in Sevco.
there was a decent blog about this by a st johnstone fan on twitter. I am in work so cant paste it here but will have a look tonight and see if i can find it. basically huns = ****ed (again)
