I can see he is now back at united. Anybody any idea what's happening with him and if we are getting him back here?
If we get him on a permanent, that would be great business. He's still young and he's improved a lot from last season and he's only going to get better
He was 5/10 last season when he was with us as a winger. This season he's been 8/10. Whoever (SB) thought he'd be a better wing back is a ****en genius!
£2-2.5m ? thats madness if the allams are contemplating spending that much on him... elmo wouldnt cost that much and he's a better player. how much is this transfer window going to cost the allams ? 2.5m for brady, 1.5m for meyler, 1.5m for elmo? ?.?m for a striker ? talking over £6m already...
You would hope it isn't 2-2.5 million up front, but with add ons etc. It's pretty obvious they'll have added a promotion clause, seen as we're second. I guess Man U will collect a load more money from Evans, Chester, Stewart if we go up as well.
I thought it was Nicky Barmby who wanted to turn Brady into an attacking full-back ? Also all this talk about him being back in Manc and another club supposedly on for him, as too the delay in Meyers signing is all agents talk and nothings else. The agents are doing there job and City are doing there's. That's why it takes time.
But if it gets us promoted, we get that £100 million, so would turn out to be an excellent investment!
Be quite happy to see £6M spent on these, value for money when you think we laid out £5M for Steptoe Bull5hit.
Lets be fair though, the chances of us putting up more than 2 million in total upfront is minimal. No deal in football pays very much upfront, most of it will be in appearances, whether we get promoted etc.... For instance the Prossy deal, there is no chance in hell we have paid them 2.5M yet.
He is clearly worth £2.5m to us. We have no other LWB, and I suppose we could look for someone, but who are you going to find for below £2.5m in the next (week preferably) month? Certainly in a rather niche position, that is going to fit in to our team. If we get promotion, he is worth well more than £2.5m to us really, so it would be a sensible investment.
The main problem we have is that we,re so reliant on Brady, Meyler and Elmo and its pretty clear to anyone whose watched us play recently, therefore MON and SAF have the club over a barrel in the negotiations, hike the price as high as they want because they know we need their players so much, they don,t care about our club or even the players themselves, they are just a commodity to be sold in order to raise as much money as possible, are there other options if these deals don,t happen.?
