...he is also impressed with the squad depth...

"Hull City loanee Robbie Brady believes the squad has the depth necessary to maintain their promotion push.

The 20-year-old winger scored the winner in Saturday's 2-1 win at Watford as the Tigers closed the gap on second-placed Crystal Palace to three points.

"There's a lot more depth in the team than there was last year.

"The aim at the start of the season was promotion and I don't think the lads will settle for anything less," Brady told BBC Radio Humberside.

“I'm just looking to get as many games as I can but I'd love to extend my loan spell further because I'm enjoying myself her
    ”
"It's mostly the same lads that were here last year but I just think everyone has got their act together this year.

"We've got a great chance of going up. We're confident that we can win every game we go into.

"We've had a couple of minor slip-ups, but we're in a comfortable position to keep pushing on."

The Republic of Ireland international spent last season on loan at the KC Stadium from Manchester United, scoring three times in 38 appearances.

His goal on Saturday was his first since re-joining the club in November and he is keen to stay with Steve Bruce's side beyond the end of his current loan deal on 2 January.

"I'm just looking to get as many games as I can but I'd love to extend my loan spell further because I'm enjoying myself here," he added

Anybody else get the impression he's hankering a permanent move?

    Me!

Reckon it'd be good, too - if he carries on like he is.

He's got his priorities right, he won't get a game at United and it's somewhere he knows and likes.

    He's been playing well.

He went off the boil in that March period last season, but the break will have given him a rest and rejuvinated him i reckon.

He's miles down the pecking order at Utd so might aswell stay with us, he knows the lads and the area now so we should try and keep him if possible, can't see Fergie saying no really

I can, not to a loan extension but he might price him a bit too high for a permanent deal.

We'll have no problem getting him on a permanent if we want him, there was already a deal in place last season, but we didn't exercise our option.

I read somewhere today there is a possibility they might sell Nani so i suppose that could bump Brady up a place, I reckon it would be a a good move to buy him now if he's an improver, it seems to have worked out with Corry Evans doing the same thing, got to give these lads a bit of time sometimes but if the qualitys there it will come through. Thats why I haven't given up on Stewart yet.
