The Baldoyle man, 22, said: "One of my groins came off, it tore completely and they told me my season was near enough over. Basic grasp of human biology not a strength of your average footballer then.
I'd like to see a fully fit Brady back( especially for penalties ) but think he'd be better targeting Ireland games
I don't get this attitude. What's to say he's being rushed back? It seems like no matter how long he's out for, it's not long enough and people see him as being rushed back.
Good news about Brady. Also heard Bruce say that McGregor was released from hospital and isn't ruling himself out of the final should we make it there. Maybe Brady is thinking the same. Gives them both something to aim for I guess.
It's not that as such, by the time he can play we'll probably be safe, there'll be no need for him to take the risk, be certain safe, let him have a prolonged lay off and then we know he'll be 100% ready for next season. What's the point in throwing him in when there's nowt to play for? If we make it to the final, possibly could come on as a sub if we need a goal, but judging by that article he wouldn't be ready to do anything but come off the bench by then anyway.
I heard Bruce last week, saying that when the doctors today him he'd be out for six weeks, he said 'good, it's seven weeks to the final'.
Must have been bad for mcgregor if he's remained in horsepiddle this long, could he really be looking at being back on the pitch in a month?
Hmm He shouldn't play another league game this season, get him 100% right so there's not even the slightest risk and he'll be fit and ready for pre season/next season
A bigger concern than him being rushed back is his match fitness. We've only got 7 games left this season. It's probably going to take 3 or 4 before he's back up to speed after the layoff he's had. (in reality, when was the last time he looked like himself rather than playing a game or two looking hampered and then being injured again)
