Don't really understand this one.... he was out, had his op, came back and played at Everton, came off the bench at Spurs as he was 'rested' due to soreness, and now he's classed a major doubt (along with Aluko again) for the match on Saturday... Why was he brought on against Spurs if injured?
Again, we piss about with injuries. I'm guessing it's because he's such a major player for us that if there was even a 30% chance he was able to play, he would. It seems daft, we have Quinn and Boyd able to play there so to rush him back is pointless. Anybody else think we might be spending a few quid in the January transfer window for some squad depth?
Said he shouldnt have played against Everton. No need to have rushed him back. Sights should have been aimed on Sunderland.
I don't think it'd matter, he's hardly going to change his line up because of those pair. And if he was going to I'd prefer it if he did know, then he's more likely to line up defensively and give our goal an easier time.
The thing about abdominal hernias, if you've ever had one you'll know they are almost a day to day thing. I've had a few and most days (before and after ops) I've felt fine. Then the damn thing can really bite you the day after. I'm sure thats it with Brady. He's really day to day. On his good days he'll be good to go. Lets hope Saturday morning he feels gtg and can put in a decent shift.
Didn't Bruce say something about having left him on for too long against Everton? (or was that Aluko, he definitely said one of our injuries was through leaving them playing too long). Incidentally, it's this massive injury list meaning we can't switch players around that's behind me wanting us out the cups. We could have done with this midweek off rather than having our players playing 120 minutes ahead of the Sunderland (no mid-week game) match.
That was probably the problem if you have ever had a hernia op you will know what I mean. Worse problem when its done laparoscopically (keyhole in Brit speak).
Yes but not like a stomach ache. Hard to describe. More like a toothache...just makes you want to curl up and scream. I have one down by my groin. Never had it fixed...just reoccurs every month or so and I'm in agony for a few hours...then the pain goes away. I can live with it. But if Brady has the pain on game day when he wakes up he won't feel like playing..that's for sure.
Brady has had his fixed so he wont have that pain. He will have post op pain and soreness mainly in things that hang. Thats unless of course he pulled the mesh off the surgery site by coming back to early. Two weeks is an awfully short time. Read a paper that said the site is only 60% of max strength at 6 weeks. http://www.bcmj.org/articles/timing...dations-based-literature-review#biomechanical
