Unless his condition worsens he will be patched up for the Villa game and have the Op immediately after. SHould be out for 2-3 weeks. Ireland won't care as they are already out of WC 2014 Qualification.
Another 'injured, needs surgery but we'll play him anyway' technique. We're getting very good at this. But at least he won't be out for ages.
That's a bit harsh, it implies that we are using him regardless of his injury, when that is not the case. His injury is a minor one and has little effect on his game.
Good. Get it sorted and done during the International Break. Job done. Looks like Brady will have painkillers prior to the Villa game to get him home in that one.
7-10 days So say the medical people. Modern surgery techniquies and all that. Expected to be OK for the Everton game.
Perhaps I am playing it a little harsh, but we see it so often with us. If he's picked up an injury, there's a large chance that continuing to play will exacerbate the problem and he'll end up being out for longer, a la Koren. He's such an important player for us, I just don't see the point in taking the risk when we have Aluko, Sagbo and Quinn all able to play there. Hell, I'd bring Meyler in and push Livermore further forward.
I think you are only being harsh because it is a hernia. They are pretty minor things now days doubtful there was much risk at all.
I don't think the type of injury is that important, you could have a 'sore foot', which could then turn out to be something much worse. Playing football takes it's toll on the body, especially when you play as a winger. If there's any chance we could make it worse, he shouldn't play and he can start his rehabilitation early and ensure that he's back fit again after the international break.
It will be though a very small knife though since its almost certain it will be done laparoscopically.
"which could then turn out to be something much worse." No not really. If they said that he needed hernia surgery it wasnt going to end up being something else. Clearly they knew what was wrong. "If there's any chance we could make it worse, he shouldn't play and he can start his rehabilitation early and ensure that he's back fit again after the international break" Not necessarily. There is a cost benefit analysis you would need to do over the chance you could make it worse and not having him in for 2 very winnable games. Their way = play West Ham, Aston Villa miss a possible Everton game. Top 8 team. Your way = miss west ham, possibly Villa. 17th ranked team and a 9th placed team. Id rather he miss one game against a better team and play 2 **** teams than the other way around. This is sports. After the first game no one is 100%. Everyone is playing with some sort of slight injury. Just because someone isnt 100% doesnt mean they should sit out. Another reason you are off on this one. Clearly the coaching staff, medical staff and Brady sat down and talked this over. The professionals decided that he should play. They have far more knowledge and expertise in this than any of us.
It hasn't stopped Ireland calling him up... http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-19864899-detail/story.html#axzz2gNcUphEO
Brady's out for the Villa game, he's having the surgery today. And he's out for a month. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/article/201314-brady-op-1089196.aspx
