Lot's of media rumours of him being linked to a number of Championship Clubs, even figures of £4M. I still believe we made the correct decision not selling him to Bristol City for what was rumoured to be an offer of £2M from Bristol City. We said at the time to my own delight, not for sale. However, time has moved on, I'm tempted to say stay where you are Dack and get Blackburn promoted, however, Cardiff and Aston Villa are on the verge of Premiership football, will the temptation be too great to resist if the rumours turn into real offers. Anyone know if there was any sell-on fee's in his sale to Blackburn and what they were? I wish him all the best.
Well - if a typical 'sell-on' is about 10%, we may get around £75,000. On another forum, a poster has stated that Scally is quoted as saying that, if Blackburn get promoted, we will get another £250,000. The percentage is generous compared to the original fee - but that fee was cheap............... but now we know that Scally was 'desperate' for money to spend on lawyers, ex-wives etc, than players for the squad. So far we haven't seen any of the Centre-Plate money, nor any of the original fee for Dack, nor Gazza's fee, or money from Egan, Norris, Bartram's add-ons, Jarvis (( how far do you want me to go back ? )) ----- so --- don't hold your breath - all the time we're doing as well as at present, Scally will not spend.......... ............ and he might save a bit of my money if he could consider becoming a monk and eating out of a pot noodle.
I've had messages giving me pretty much the figure of 15%-20% - obviously i hasten to add i have absolutely no way of verifying this.
