I thought the defensive pairing in the second half looked pretty decent. Composure on the ball and very promising for the 2 rookies. Cooper could do nothing about the OG in the first half, loved his crunching tackle in the first half. Solid performces .
Cooper's marking wasn't tight enough yesterday and I thought he looked very slow. But I'll put it down to lack of match fitness and low confidence after the OG, although, I do expect an improved performance against Milwall. On the bright side Sonny looked calm and composed, and he gives us a threat from corners!
I agree with that, the problem was he was losing every ball against Platt in the air so second half he decided just to drop off him and let him win and look for the second ball himself. It didn't really work that tactic unfortunately.
Big chance for the two lads. See what life will be like after Chester. Cooper will have to mark Henderson tighter though otherwise he'll run riot.
