Bobbyboy - I thought it was a solid performance although our 2 centre halves looked very uncomfortable at times and too many clearances didn't make 30 yards. I sat behind the dugout and i have to say that I was impressed with Allen and his staff. They never stopped communicating with the players and always encouraged. He clearly expects all 11 to do their jobs defensively as well as when we have the ball. I know it is early days but I am optimistic. Hoadie_Boi - After today's result I have a good feeling for this season, it will be one for the history book. alwaysright - I am glad that Weston was eventually moved to the wing - his obvious position (great goal) - it gave us a better dimension - even allowed for more room on the right - for Fish to make some encouraging runs. bristol407 - It is always difficult to judge the first performance of the season when the weather is hot and the standard of the opposition is uncertain. The inescapable fact is that the scoreline flattered Gills and although Gills dominated the first 15 minutes of each half, it was Bradford in charge for the rest of the time and Gills were hanging on desperately before their third goal. Highlight was the Bradley Dack cameo. He only had a few touches but the way he latched onto that through ball and crashed it against the post oozed quality. We will see more of him. gioblues - Kedwell was easily m.o.m, he looks sharp had a cracking shot in the first half which was cleared off the line and a brilliant first goal also that was his best pen in the top corner. Nelson also impressed, Gazza who? Dack looks the real deal sign him for long contract before he gets snapped up. I think we'll be lucky to get 0 ( sorry brb - don't mean to spoil the thread - but I'm sure you'll understand after that rubbish last night )
As we have off loaded more of our able midfielders eg Payne Jackman and yes even Montrose who is far more able than Gregory and co I think we struggle for the rest of the season. I think the defeats will be more common place. I am going for Gills defeat but hope I am wrong! Bradford 4 Gills 0
Because of MA's thoughtless constant tinkering: Bradford 2-0 Gills I think he needs to start feeling a bit of pressure to make him look a bit more closely at his recent decisions, before it is to late. Then he will have a choice, change your outlook or be stubborn enough to carry on relentless. I fear the latter bares more fruit than the former.

The only team that has managed to weaken itself during January versus the team that is preoccupied with cup success. It could go either way but I go for ; Bradford 1-1 Gills (McDonald)
