I saw that on the Live broadcast, at first I thought is he having a kip? But then I looked again and I think he just had his eyes down maybe looking at his phone
He had his eyes closed- that doesn't mean much imo. He probably thought, like the rest of us, that if he closed his eyes it might all go away. I was more concerned about seeing him laughing with someone off-camera earlier on. There was certainly nothing to laugh about.
Can't say I'd be bothered about him laughing. I don't expect the bench to sit there like robots, I'd want them to be relaxed and happy. If they means them having a laugh then so be it as long as they're ready should they be needed.
I don't like to see players laughing and looking relaxed when their team is playing so badly- unless it's mild hysteria.
When the referee gives Palace free kicks because Coutinho jumps or Skrtel gets his shirt pulled then all you can do is laugh or cry or close your eyes
probably discussing what to spend their hard earned earnings on bet they wouldn't be laughing if they was sat on the bench just getting £200 a week, compared to playing get a £1000 for eg. should have that rule already, that would get rid of the ****s that just want to sit on the bench and get paid, as they would get **** all!!!!
Its when he opened his eyes that makes me think he was sleeping lol. He had that moment of where the **** am I ? Followed by that I wasnt asleep honest look.
Jones must be thinking how s**t does Ming have to be before he gets a run in the team. Meditating on it he was
I think you guys seriously need to lighten up if players laughing annoys you. I guess I'd annoy you too since I often laugh when things aren't right. Best medicine and ask that...
think you need to put it in context, i think people are pissed off with them laughing as they are supposed to be professional and we are playing a shambles, so not a lot to laugh about really. playing well and there is a good fell factor around the place, then yeah something to be happy about, but not when we are playing ****e, we expect some sort of professionalism from the players, its like don't give a **** type attitude, i still get paid my silly wages. may not be true, and slightly harsh, but its the impression it gives.
Laughter under adversity is one thing, but I don't think that's what we're seeing here. I don't expect them to go around with their heads hung low the whole time. However, during the course of a match that is going spectacularly wrong, I expect them to be fully involved in the events on the pitch and for their emotions to reflect the general feeling amongst players and fans alike. I've nothing against Brad, btw, I think he's a decent enough back-up and seems a nice guy. I'm only saying this on here because it's appropriate to the thread, but it galls me when those on the bench don't seem to care enough about the match to take our plight seriously.
