Can't find the link to the article but here is what BR had to say on Suso:

    - "I think his best position is that number 10 role and we'll nurture that over the next couple of years."

    - "But, I've asked him to play as the false winger, that seven-and-a-half role, where he's more on the inside."

Encouraging that Rodgers will eventually use Suso in a more centrol role in the future as I believe that is his best position. I genuinely believe Suso could be our version of Silva, Mata - a tricky player who can take the ball and keep it in high positions and then has the ability to play intricate balls.

Not sure Luis will be happy with someone leeching on his number ...

    Neither will Cole ...

Suso has looked very good when he's played. Very calm with the ball, he does need to get stronger though.

He really thinks he's re-inventing football doesn't he, what a load of old tripe.

God forbid someone has a different idea on how to play football. I think we should sack him and get someone in to play 442 with traditional full backs, none of this so called wing back nonsense.

None of what he says is different though, that's my point. He comes out with these bollocks labels to make his 'system' sound complicated, when in fact all he's playing is a 4-3-3 with a high back line & a CF who drops off & leaves a gaping void in the box. Genius.

I think you are focusing too much on what he says, he's just talking about football in the only way that he knows, he's not saying it's different or special he's just talking about his player and the way he sees him playing in the future. You just want to pick fault with anything and everything he says.

I've no problem with the fella per se. To be honest, when he was appointed I thought you'd hired a promising young manager who could maybe deliver success. However, now he's your manager he gets more air time & you hear him talk more about the game & his vision (plus the documentary - cringe) & that's made me change my view on him, as I listen to him speak & just hear a man who's trying to sound clever & make his knowledge of the game & how it works appear to be something 'beyond' the norm.

I might be wrong about him, it's just how I currently feel.

    Exactly Luv.

People try to pin the accusation that BR has tried to "reinvent football" when actually he continually gives the credit elsewhere. He has clearly stated he as a manager has been influenced by continental (Spanish/Barcalona in particular) and has gone to pains to say he wants to RETURN to the Liverpool pass & move style with his own input as manager(it is his input because, wait for it...he IS the manager). That all sounds like the opposite of claiming you invented it!

People point to his 180 page dossier as some kind of proof.well sorry that was just smart: he went to a job interview with yanks with what he thought they wanted; a modern approach to a job interview. Apparently he was right.

Will he be successful with what he wants to do? Who knows but wait and judge him on that rather than try & accuse him of things to justify the fact you just don't like the way the guy talks.

Shock horror, a bitter Everton fan does'nt like the Liverpool manager for childish reasons. All managers talk bollox, even pasty face Moyes made a complete show of himself when he banged on about Suarez diving all week leading up to the derby, only for Phil Neville to produce one of the worst dives the prem has ever seen.

He says false winger, we say wide forwards, but it means the same really.

An attacking wide player comes narrow into the box.

If he refers to that role as 7 and a half, should Suarez be 9 and a half?
