Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on Cliftonville striker Rory Donnelly. Rodgers flew to Northern Ireland earlier this week to watch Donnelly, 19, in his side's defeat of Glentoran in the County Antrim Shield final. There are 14 other English clubs interested. Any clues to who he is??
I should imagine that he's one for the future as opposed to slotting in any time soon. Lots of good Irish "finds" doing well over here.
With 14 other clubs showing an interest he must have something..so having a punt is a no brainer as we are not going to send any raiding parties to La Liga or Serie A
Well this comes as no surprise to me, the sooner we get another Borini the better! Well done Rodgers................ please log in to view this image
why would i not be happy. If its true that 14 other clubs are interested in him and brendan went to see him for himself then thats good news ain't it. At 19 years old with so many clubs looking at him he must have something special.....
I notice Brendan has backtraked from his quote of wanting 4-6 new players , no contract sig ed by him yet regardless of some thinking it was imminent. The new figure is 2 quality players, one Will be a Loan signing no doubt ,maybe this guy is the other ??
Borini is already ON loan to Roma, no chance of him coming unless we buy him outright, and that would be tricky to the point where it won't happen.
Not sure about that Scott, Parma have peed him off, and Roma have him down the pecking order as third choice, and being played out of position on the wing, and as he's on loan to Roma with an option to buy, will Borini sign at the end of his loan period? I think there might well be a window of opportunity for Rodgers to keep in touch!............... please log in to view this image
The red mist seemed to descend on Roma today. They lost 3-0 and ended up with only 8 on the pitch. Borini presumably still out injured - not playing and not on the bench.
Don't do Twitter, but my son, who just got back from Blackburn tonight (Bit Down), said that Borini put a tweet on twitter tonight, stating "He hopes one day to play again for Swansea" !....................... please log in to view this image
This is from the official Roma Twitter account; OfficialASRoma A.Ş. Rome Borini: "The entries read on my own social network on alleged return to Swansea? False. I have not even an official profile on Twitter"
Borini is out for a month, and is due back on the 12th December!.............. please log in to view this image
