I'll say one thing after watching the first Being Liverpool, Rodgers don't half spout a good old pile of ****e, and he's a wee bit too eager to touch people, including kids. The proof of the pudding is if the thick **** football players fall for it or not. If he has or will win them over, I don't care that he worries me some. But judging by the yoga lesson in America, I think the players are more likely to be doing "****er" gestures behind his back. My fear is both ourselves and the players will be in a bit of an "unsure about him" limbo, and we will struggle no end, because he has neither completely on his side. Personally if he identifies "the city" as an entity again, I'm going to twat the thick Irish Bastid. I mean how stupid is he? We are a massive worldwide club, and he keeps banging on about the club and the city, alienating fans not from "the city", it must piss off the Evertonians here too. This isn't Swansea where all the fans are within 20 miles, and no-one in the city supports anyone else. It speaks to me of a man who still hasn't grasped the enormity of this club.
Speaking as a Cheshire "wooly", it hasn't really bothered me at all. The only thing which really irks me is he seems a little too heavy on praising every tiny little thing- and saying how wonderful everyone is. That's nice- seems a nice bloke- but I hope he knows how to get the stick out and give them a good walloping now and then... The closest we've seen to that is the slight dressing down he gave Stirling.
All I know is hes infinitly better than our last 2 managers, who were both well past it, in fact the 1st 1 never had it
I really think the grass did an excellent job today. TBH I think that is just his camera talk. I reckon he is different when the world is not watching. I dont think he really says much is his interviews after the match. He keeps it all in the dressing room. Remember the video where he is shouting at Sterling. He can get give discipline!
If I had my way, I would have wanted Rafa back. But I'm happy with Rodgers because he has a good outlook on football, his style and from what I have seen already, he's also brave. We have a manager who wants to play attacking, technical football. It won't just click overnight but there are signs of progress and it's encouraging. Our first 3 home games were Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd of which we should have won 2. Bar Arsenal at home and West Brom away, we have deserved to win the other games. I only have to listen to Rodgers and you can see what he's trying to achieve. He has a genuine interest and passion in both the city and the club, and I for one do believe in him.
