Im in my late 30's , and I can honestly say I dont think I have EVER seen an LFC performance as good as that when we have lost

Gerrard,Johnson,Allen were all IMMENSE, with Sterling,Suso,Shelvey( when on ) Agger and Skrtel playing well too

Have patience chaps,I really, really believe we have found a top ,top manager. We out played Yernited TOTALLY with 10 men,and Rodgers didnt just and defend after the sending off, AND he was brave enough to play Suso from half time who was excellent

I feel certain if this manager gets money off FSG, we will win the PL with this manager. All the mistakes Kenny was making last season he isnt doing .Positive substitutions, early susbstitution, picking teams based on ability not age

    You being serious DDDDDD?

You should get rid of Rodgers right now, save yourselves the pain later.

Anyone can set up a team to play nice football. Winning football, now that's a bit more challenging. He is a shocking appointment.

Oh we woz robbed, that is a certainty! We have injuries to worry about, but given that the younger players are all gagging for a chance, and have so far grasped the chances they have had with both hands. It now looks like either Wisdom, Flanno or Robinson will get a game next week, and Coates may now get an extended run along side Turtle. I only wish that Rodgers had the same faith with one of our younger strikers. Morgan isn't getting a look-in at the moment, and I don't know why.

I like your optimism, but IMMENSE and we'll win the PL with this is manager is going a bit far.

Flanno wont play,BR doesnt rate him ,TBH neither do I , thats another thing about BR I love he seems to be able to spot a player immediately,as he has prove with Sterling in the mix and Adam sold

Coates will play CB next week , with Wilson playin W Brom. BR has 3 options at FB , bring Enrique back ( dont think he will ), or IMO he will start Wisdom at RB, or if fit I think he will start Downing at LB

Never rated Flanno, too rash, poor going forward and has a few lapses in concentration defensively. Wisdom and Robbo, however, look promising at the back.

look, i've seen a lot better than that.... the best we've played IMO in the past 5 years was in 2009 v sunderland at anfield where we won 3-0... today utd were very sloppy and it was not just down to us pressing them as we didn't do that. they were kicking the ball out of play mostly and disjointed. we were good up to when shelvey went off and held our own i nthe seocnd half at times...

but we did self destruct again... the players who got injured had no need to do so if they'd just pass the damn thing properly, kelly in particular.

I honestly think we can do a lot better and play a lot sharper and quicker in terms of the passing, crisper is the word and when we do then I'll say thats as good as we've played. yes you say when we've lost but there you go, I don't think losing can mean we played well... we simply didn't really trouble utd i nthe firs thalf despite the possession.

Here's the thing; if rodgers keeps skertl at RCB and plays coates at LCB now and puts johnson back in and then resolves the elft back issue we'll improve... if he doesn't do this we'll struggle badly.... if rodgers gets lucas and sahin fit and pushes gerrard up to play with suarez and sterling we'll improve... and most of all when jan 1 comes round if we lay out 20mil+ to buy a goddamn striker who's got any talent and can play NOW not in 3 years time we'll also improve.

I hope rodgers does the right things from here cos right now perfect storm is a good analogy of his lfc career thus far.

tbf, he did say best he's seen us play AND lose, whether he meant the best he's seen us play and still lose, or just in general the best he's seen us play, I don't know.

We've played better- but that was a pretty good performance- definately our best of the season. We were the better team - if as little as 5% of the 50-50 calls the ref made went our way we would have won that game. Ref ruined what could have been United getting hammered.

I really, really believe we have not found a top, top manager. But I'm going on his record, not on some vague notion of a magic fairy land where you click your heels and everything suddenly comes good, like we're in a ****ing Hollywood movie or a glossy PR docu-pamphlet made by Fox TV.

I'm in my early 50s but I remember us being better than that against Arsenal last season and losing. So I'm not senile yet.

    It's interesting...

I felt almost immediately with Rafa we had the right manager- he just seemed to click. With Kenny I never made up my mind... still haven't... felt for sure we wern't living to potential- but I'm still unsure whether another season he would have done better.

I knew almost immediately watching Roy that he wasn't good enough for us and you could see us rapidly declining in quality every game he managed.

We've probably got worse results under Rodgers than we did with Roy... but just like the Kenny days- I still can't make up my mind whether he is good or not for the club... too early I guess... but it's interesting- he doesn't immediately strike me as Koala-tea like Rafa did. Nor utter-cwap like Roy did.

Today's performance was much more promising- but is it just one game?

I wish we had resigned Rafa- but I'm fully behind Rodgers- at least for a while longer till he can prove if he is worthy of the position or not.

  20. I'm not getting as carried away as some others but the signs are there. I am impressed that he is willing to give young players a chance. Yes we have seen previous recent managers play youngsters but not so much in the league. We have seen Sterling and Suso get league match time and our youngest average age for the first XI for some time too.
