First Goal Scorer - Indicate the player you think will score first (1 point) Even if you predict no goals, select a player. Tiebreaker - In the case of a draw, the tiebreaker will be used to decide the winner. It will be the total number of goals for both sides over the two ties. Does a correct result count at the final whistle or is it the result after penalties in the event of a draw.
Italy vs Spain (27/06/16 @ 5:00) 2 1 to Spain. First goal from Iniesta and followed by Xabi and a consolation from Insigne. 4 yellows. Germany vs Slovakia (26/06/16 @ 5:00) 2 nil to Germany, with Muller (first goal) and then Gomes. 3 yellows. Nemec to sore the goal I have not predicted. Total goals to be scored comes to 5!!! A full time result from our first semi - final - @danablu 0 - 3 @Barry Tiger Despite this pair blowing hot in the group stages, both bagging three CS's and breaking the 10 point barrier (or setting a highest points total in the case of Danablu), they both fall wide of the mark on these games. BT cunningly picks up two points for yellow cards and another for predicting Portugal's late winner against an impressive Croatian side. Danablu's bad record in head to head matches continues, it now reads PLD 3 Lost 3.
Next semi -final result after Belgium quashed Hungary - @taffthefish 4 - 5 @BluefromBridgend Unfortunately another tie decided by yellow cards, and Taff can feel quite aggrieved not to be going through after missing out by a point to Bfb. However, in this type of format it can be close if nobody gets a CS. Taff will have to settle for his head to head luck running out this season after beating Rumney and Steveoldinho in the Playoffs but all eyes will now be on Bfb. Can he be the first to complete a Grand Slam of trophies by having his name on all of them? Hi Taff's Sorry to have gone through on the yellows. Not very satisfactory. Now on to next round against my good friend, old work colleague and the fat bugger who sits next to me at CCS. Will he be fit and refreshed on his return from France or exhausted and confused after 10 days away? Will Teddy and Rat help him? You gave to be friends with him on Facebook to get that. Unlucky Danablu - I was one or two french beers for the worse when making my selection - I might have to try that tactic in the semi final!

Teddy and Rat both made it safely home from France - I was expecting Teddy to be Tednapped in Paris but he was perfectly safe
No worries bfb, it was interesting and I can concentrate on the mini-comp we're running over here. All the best against the "fat bugger" and his posse. It will be sweeter if the eventual winner has knocked me out.

@Blue Sheep 4 - 3 @FrankfurterBlue Another tie that is decided by a single point! This time Pelle's late goal against the Spanish giving me the point to edge Frankfurter, who is cruelly beaten for the 2nd time in a head to head match this summer. Both of us picked up three points from Germany's win over Slovakia but Frankfurter couldn't produce any points from the 2nd match. Commiserations!
Well done Mr Sheep!!!! At least we scored a few more points this time between us. I got more (or as much ) in two games as I got in the nine in the last round!!!! At least I can put my feet up now and give my predicting fingers a rest till the new season. What price a Wales v Iceland final? I will have to go. In fact, in a rash moment, I promised my young son we will go to France if Wales get to the semis. He has his bags packed and we are having comments like "Spit on school! Let's go!"
