Sky Sports News @SkySportsNews Hull's George Boyd has been charged by the FA for spitting at Man City's Joe Hart #SSN
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Boyd has until 6pm tomorrow to respond to the charge. At least a three-game ban if guilty.
No ****ing way. That's ludicrous. FA can **** off. The name change is ludicrous but Allams spot on calling them corrupt. ****ing pigs.
If it's three games and he wants to play at Wembley he'll have to hope that any ban starts immediately.
Is it spitting, or spitting with intent? I'm sure some games I dampen the people in front of me when I shout, trying to get the refs attention, but I'd never deliberately spit at anyone.
It's unfortunate, his performance on Saturday is the best I've seen from him. He was running rings around one of the best right backs in the premier league! I think he could have been in line to start instead of Meyler on Saturday.
Direct consequence of Match of The Day wrongly flagging it up, be tragedy for Boyd if he gets banned based on spurious photos
Isnt Boyd quoted as saying Hart came into the dressing room after the match to apologise for the clash of heads and now it's all forgotten? Im pretty sure if Hart felt that Boyd had deliberately spat at him then he wouldnt have gone to apologise.
It looked more accidental to me , you should walk away from incidents like that , easy to say though I don't like diving though , why don't the FA punish that ?
Interesting how the Beeb referred to Hart's actions as him and Boyd "touching heads" (whereas Pardew's action, which hardly can be seen as a devastating blow, was referred to as a "headbutt"). Even the photo above the text on the article page shows Hart's forehead square on to Boyd's nose. But hey he got a yellow in the match...and he plays for Man City and England. Failing to see any degree of consistency.
Do the FA review much evidence before raising the charge? To be fair to them, the pictures aren't clear one way or another,so they at least need to ask George. He's never come close to seeming like a person that would do anything like that.
It doesn't seem that way, I can see an appeal coming along. If Boyd does appeal, do they consult all the parties involved? I.e Hart, Boyd, the ref etc.
If we appeal we risk losing and him missing out on Wembley. If we don't appeal it's a tragedy and we miss him for important league games. This really is a farce. The FA aren't fit for purpose.
Davies tweeted that Boyd shouted you prick at Hart and in the process some spit came out unintentoinally. Hard to prove I suppose.
If the 'injured' party, Mr Joseph Hart Esq, has already come out and said that GB did NOT spit at him then why the charge from the FA?
