Great result for Fulham and us today! Well done, lads <ok> I have no doubt that a few of our Chav brethren scoffed at our flattering 1-3 scoreline, when we beat Fulham on their turf, recently, and many were saying that we were lucky to win. Yeah, but at least we did win - that's what good teams do - win when the other side has come at them hard. The Chavs couldn't even beat Fulham at the Bridge! Perhaps now their supporters will have a bit more respect for what we achieved against them?

In the other important match, 'Pool are a goal down at home to the worst team in the EPL, and the Mickey Mousers are suicidal. I found this quote from WishyWashyLiverpool, which sums up their general sentiments:-

And pool slip further behind and City don't stretch too far away, now need to do the business tomorrow and it's been a good weekend.
 
A very good day for us without kicking a ball.Liverpool must have the worst shot to goal ratio in the EPL or maybe in the entire league.Well played Fulham and a good word has to be said about WBA.

Just need to beat Norwich and we can still keep in touch with the top 2 and maybe more importantly distance ourselves from the chasing pack.

This has been one of the best Boxing Days ever!
 
United are extremely impressive with consecutive 5-0 wins, one home, one away, gained points on City and reduced the GD...today with Johnny Evans as the only recognised CB, and get a clean sheet taboot!

I'm not suggesting we repeat the feat, but repeating the mentality to win is what Spurs must do, regardless of available personnel.

Given their lack of defensive options (which just got even more limited with Evans' injury) they had to go all-out to crush the opposition - although Fulham rolled over before they'd taken to the pitch.

Not sure why Arsenal aren't getting similar credit, given they're running out of defenders at a similar rate.

Good points, except it was Wigan, not Fulham. However, Smalling, Jones and Ferdinand are back for the next game.
