Some could argue that 6-8 teams will be in the relegation scrap as the final months of the season approach us. Looking at it, in my opinion is just the 5 teams... maybe Huddersfield but the likes of Blackburn and Fulham will have enough quality to stay up. Thought I'd give the bottom 5 teams remaining fixtures a look over and have a guess at how we'll all get on....

So it will leave the final table looking something like this.... Of course it will probably end up nothing like that but just going on what I think the 5 teams will be able to get from the remaining fixtures. Any one of those teams (hopefully us) can go on a 5,6,7 or even 8 games unbeaten run but looking how the season has gone, I think that final table will be pretty much the same as the one I've predicted, give or take 3/4 points.

I think you are right about Fulham but with Blackburn selling Rhodes I believe they can be drawn into the scrape at the bottom

Wasn't Wigan and Wolves a few years back too good to go down?

Well if you can see the likes of Rotherham and Charlton getting more points than Blackburn, who have 2 games in hand, then fair play to you... Get a bet on it now.

Surprised nobody voted for "No", isn't it funny how things change quickly, In December we were "already relegated" apparently

Something I never understood when we were never more than a point or 2 adrift...

Think that the bottom teams will get more points than that. At least 43 and probably 45

at the moment with fixtures falling as they will realistically bottom 7 (as opposed to 8 as has been in my calc's , march 2nd will be the clear picture) is "the contenders"
bottom line is 21st = 47 points to survive .. and 45 points up for grabs.

    A WIN 5 DRAW 5 LOSE 5 = 20 PTS ( 1.3 PTS A GAME)
on the face of it using this argument ..the bottom 3 are already nailed on ! CITY finish with 51 points...
