Bothroyd: Joey Barton's been a breath of fresh air JAY BOTHROYD reckons Joey Barton is a "breath of fresh of air" at QPR and has played down talk of dressing room unrest. Barton left Newcastle this summer under a cloud and hasn't been afraid to voice his opinion since arriving at Loftus Road, recently accusing team-mate Adel Taarabt of being a lazy sulker. But Bothroyd feels the midfielder's honest approach is a useful tool that helps create a positive atmosphere in the dressing room. The ex-Cardiff striker said: "Joey says what's on his mind. He's obviously a good player and leads well. He's been a breath of fresh air. "The atmosphere is great. There's a lot of banter and personalities and shouting. You hear most people before you see them. It's a great team spirit." That camaraderie has included a fair few pranks in the Loftus Road home dressing room, with Bothroyd having his Ugg boots torn to shreds by a plotting Jamie Mackie. It may seem like fun and games but QPR have been doing some serious business on the pitch as well, including last week's battling victory over nine-man Chelsea. I would align Joey Barton more to Toilet Duck than fresh air ... still he played very well last week credit where's its due ... i stand corrected said the man in the orthopedic shoes
