He (or more likely the greedy little **** of an agent) reckons that if he was still under contract he would be worth at least £4m, so anyone who wants him can pay him that much as well. £65k/ week = close on £3.5m a year. 3 year deal worth over £10m. Imagine what Adel would do if he found out that someone was getting paid over twice as much as him! This is the problem with a team sport. Some players are more valuable than others, but in the end it is the team that wins, draws or loses. It causes problems when players who play week in and week out earn such different amounts.
This was in the Sun so I belive nothing. I think he'll be on around £40k a week though which isnt bad considering no transfer fee. I think Spurs will pinch him though as they will pay him more. I can see his quote over the weekend; " I was all set to go to QPR but when a club of Spurs size come in for you blah blah blah". Greedy git!!
