The deals for JET and Stockdale have been done but there was a hitch with some paper work in the JET transfer. Apparently the transfer sum is £1.5 Million rising to £2 Million with clauses. A bit too much methinks and reminds me of the Lee Martin transfer deal. I just hope PJ knows what he's doing on this one. The Stockdale deal concerns me as well with Fulham insisting on a 24 hour re call clause on the loan deal. As if we haven't got enough to worry about!

What's wrong with you JWM? So pessimistic. If a player's worth signing for 1m he's worth signing for 2 in my eyes.

And the Stockdale deal - he could be with us for the whole season and he is in the same league as Cooper, Forrest and Wright. Finally! However long he's with us he will be earning us points.

From what I've heard Wenger was asking for a minimum 40% (maybe 50%) sell on clause to be added. My thoughts are Jewell has offered them extra cash as part of the transfer to substantially reduce that 40% figure or remove completely. So instead of owing them any further transfer fees in the future any fees we recieve should (hopefully) be all ours.

Cheer up JWM, lets look at the postive side of things. 2 very good signings lets hope for a centre half next.

Sorry for my pessimism guys but I am underwhelmed by this JET signing. He appears to be a jack of all trades and master of none! We badly need a creative midfield player and a dominant Centre Back(s) and a right back. The Stockdale loan I am delighted with as he is a quality stopper but again I am concerned about the 24 hour recall. Look what happened when we got Begovic on loan, he only played about 8 games for us.

" On January 18 Jay Emmanuel-Thomas announced on his Twitter page that he had signed for Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season. When he left Cardiff, he told "certain fans" to "**** off" which caused rage among the Cardiff City fan base. "

Charming ! With what some of our fans are like he'll have his work cut out.....

As for " master of all trades, master of none " --- I can see what your saying, HOWEVER the lad is ONLY 21 ! He's just had loan spells, he hasn't had a proper opportunity yet to make any position his own.

I doubt he's put his hand forwards to play at full back, however he's got on with it.

He's very capable of beating a man, is 6'3 and build like an absolute tank.

He will only feature for us outwide or uptop - OR you never know with his frame, could he be put into the middle of the park !? I would have a lot of faith in someone of his size in there putting himself about.

Personally I'm very very much looking forwards to having the lad. Think he'll do rather well.... !

Don't most loan deals have these clause's anyway, and as for JAY Emmanuel-Thomas i don't know too much but at least he is our player.

I think he has played in also every position expect goalie, would be a useful player being so adaptable we could change formation easily during the game.
