There seems to be some issues going on Twitter. From what I've seen the owner slaggled off a younger fan and there been a bit of a reaction. There does seem to be weird culture there, almost a cult. Where no one can do no wrong. I'm not sure if they've gotten to big for their boots and think they're in with Acun.
Most of the blokes who go there who reply to me on twitter are sound. The owner does milk Acun’s appearances though to be something more than it is. It was just very ironic his dig at the young lad, for standing outside the training ground to kiss the arse of the players, considering that’s what he does to Acun
Went it after an England match. (Used to be there before every game many years ago when Scotch Pete was drinking in there and it was two landladies) Was particularly impressed with the various photo books on the bar with every possible Acun link recorded for posterity…
I've been in a few times and it is a good pre match atmosphere. I've heard a few unsavoury rumours about the owners, although i'm in no position to say if they're true or not
I drove past the other day? Have they just out upvc windows in what I assume is a listed building? Dickslaps
They dropped sausage rolls in favour of profiteroles. Very unsavoury move. A bit of a travesty in all honesty.
I heard that there was men get a bit handsy in there last year. Apprently also the pub has a drug problem.
Was with the Botanic lot in Kufstein, and Zell am Zee, Austria, for pre-season with City, decent lads and good memories made. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Photos to follow, shortly after the Bullard ones. As for a drugs problem, if you closed down the pubs where drug taking goes on this country would be drier than Dame Edna's fanny, FACT. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
