Boss Cooper Wants To Keep Sunderland Star Noble Hartlepool United manager Neale Cooper says he's desperate to keep Sunderland striker Ryan Noble next season. The 20-year-old has impressed since joining on loan and bagged his first goal for the club against Yeovil last month. Now Cooper says he's eager to extend his loan stay into next season ''If he is enjoying it and Sunderland decide over the summer that we can take him then I would be very pleased with that. ''But I know Ryan is enjoying it - I always keep in touch with him to make sure he's okay. I watch things like that and know how important it is. He joins in the banter and it's like he's been here a long time, which is good for us as well as him.'' Cooper went on to say that Noble, a former England youth international, had proved a popular addition to the squad. ''I've seen boys arrive at clubs who the others don't take to, but Ryan is well liked and he is doing a job for the team - everyone can see what he brings. ''The others are pleased to have him on board and see what he adds - bang, give him a chance and he gets on the end of it.'' he told the Mail. I really want to see this guy have a few games to see what hes about and what he can do.
Don't see him getting anywhere to be honest. Very much hope I'm wrong but he hasnt progressed as much as I hoped. still time yet though.
Don't think he has had a decent chance in the team tbh. I personally think Noble will make it but if MON has decided to keep Connor & Ji here it suggests they are ahead of him in the pecking order.
I'm with you Rog, would like to see him given a go, although I think being out on loan is best for him at this time. There were rumours that he has an attitude problem but from what I've seen and read he just wants to score goals and impress and seems to be giving 100% at pools. It's good he has confidence in himself and he reminds me of Bendtner in that respect.
The experience will do him good. We shouldn't be looking to sell him just now as he could end up be worth a few million at worst or prolific at best, hopefully the latter.
farm him out on loan next season, unless mon is actually going to give him game time. we know he's not scared of playing unknowns (hi james mcclean), so the fact he continued to ignore this guy when we were (are) crying out for a striker says a lot. if he's not going to feature, let's see what he can do in a lower league. worst case scenario, he's another waghorn and we get a few bob.
Judging by what iv'e read from you lot in the past months... The lad could have a big future, but maybe not at the SOL.
well tbh i think if he does have "it" he should be playing at a much higher level then hartlepool no disrespect intended, he scored **** loads of goals last season and still never got a shot, something just doesnt seem right to me...
Talk last season was around his attitude towards arriving on time for training & once there, actually putting the shift in. No doubt about the lad’s skill as he knocked many in last season for the reserves, including a number of hat tricks. Maybe playing with some NON superstars at Hartlepool might be the making or breaking of him, hence his extended loan out from the reserves.
