Could the transfer market be about to change beyond recognition again?

Football's transfer rules are deemed ILLEGAL by the EU's top court

    The statement of significance is:

players - and their agents - will potentially be able to break contracts without consequences, signing on with new clubs rather than feeling the need to run down their contracts. It is likely that clubs will soon gravitate towards offering shorter contracts in the near future.

You CAN currently break a contract by buying your way out of it.

It means (if I’m interpreting correctly) that contracts are virtually meaningless and players can go and play where and for whom they want.
If this actually happens then clubs will probably only be able to offer ‘pay-for-play’ deals with no commitment for either party. It would be chaos - and a nightmare for managers who won’t know who’s playing for them from one week to the next.
UNLESS of course it is only valid during the transfer window. In that case 1 season’s contracts will still be worth arranging.

    True. ‘Terminated’ rather than ‘broke’.

the agents are the bane of the worlds football... massive fee's for doing what really ... getting the odd player to maybe open the local ..? ... fete?about 0.00001% actually might end up in an advert!
