QPR listening to offers for midfielder Borysiuk By David McIntyre 23/01/2017 QPR will listen to offers for Ariel Borysiuk ahead of this month’s transfer deadline. The Polish midfielder, signed from Legia Warsaw last summer, has failed to impress Ian Holloway. Rangers will consider a loan or permanent move for Borysiuk, who has featured only once for them this month. Borysiuk, 25, has made 12 appearances for the club since his arrival in west London. Rangers manager Holloway is keen to revamp his midfield. An offer for Manchester United’s Sean Goss, 21, has been accepted and Michael Doughty was recently recalled from a season-long loan at Swindon. Borysiuk has become surplus to requirements along with Karl Henry, who has been told find a new club following a fall-out with Holloway.
I didn't realise he wasn't playing because Holloway wasn't impressed with him. I thought it was because he was homesick and couldn't settle in London.
Thought he'd done well under Jimmy. He didn't play much when I saw games but he got a lot of positive comment. What stuck me most when I last saw him was that he looked very nervous, not sure but I think that was when he played for Ollie. It is strange that a youngish player from Legia Warsaw isn't good enough for us now.
Makes perfect sense That explains the recruitment of the Man United player Goss, and my comments to Terryb on the Transfer Thread. He is not rated and won't buy into the Ollie ethos
Looked ok but with his sliding tackles, he was only a nanosecond away from a red card just about every time he played. Not without skill though. Wish him luck.
As footballers go he was quite decent from the few games I saw him play. This is a shame because we need more than just players 'buying into the Ollie ethos' we need players that have skill and a footballing brain. I cannot see this as a positive thing.
Watched him against Ipswich and he was woeful, got dragged after an hour and that was probably what sealed his fate.
Also seen he was homesick and if his heart isn't in it then it's better for all that he moves on. As I have never seen him play don't know what we could have missed. My only concern about this is Wszolek's proposed signing on a permanent basis could be in danger, that is if we want him, as I thought Borysiuk had something to do with us getting him on loan!
I thought he looked OK. Has something about him, but probably have to trust Holloway's assessment of whether he is a fit for our "new" system.
Exactly, there were times in the last two games (with our tactics lately) where someone with a bit of a brain could have ripped sides apart....and we knew the offside rule..
Totally agree if we had someone like that we could have beaten Reading by 3-4 goals and Finished off Foolham on Saturday. I guess we just need to trust Hollow.
When you've got Rotherham wanting £5m for Ward, it would be some coup to find a striker better than Sylla who can slot straight in.
A pity as he was receiving good reviews when he played for JFH. He did not get much of a chance under Ollie, but that is the manager's perogative. I wish him well.
mmmm What about Polter? People keep making excuses about strikers but every time we get one they don't last long or are sold for peanuts. Never a big fan of Polter (although I warmed to him). We shouldn't be ging after players like Ward if the board had half a brain a while back.
