QPR midfielder dishes the dirt on the R's deadline day signing ...

    • Ariel Borysiuk reacts to arrival of fellow countryman Pawel Wszolek
    • Polish international agreed season-long loan on deadline day
    • Borysiuk played with Wszolek at international level
ON transfer deadline day QPR completed the signing of Pawel Wszolek on a season-long loan with the option of a permanent deal, and someone who knows our new winger better than most is his fellow countryman – and the R’s first summer signing – Ariel Borysiuk.

Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, Borysiuk has told fans that Rangers should be excited by Wszolek’s arrival.

“I think he will be a big, big signing for QPR,” he said. “I played a few times with Pawel in the national team for the Under-21s and a few times for the senior team. He’s a really great player with a lot of potential and he’s only 24 so this is a great age to come to England.

“He can play on both flanks. He’s so quick and strong and I think England likes these kind of players.”

Having known Wszolek since he was a teenager, Borysiuk admitted he played a part in convincing him to swap Verona for London and is now looking forward to welcoming his mate to W12.

He added: “I had contact with him and he asked me a few things about being in England; I said just good things about QPR because I’m really so happy here.

“Now he’s away with the national team but I look forward to welcoming him here when he comes back.”

Having been in England now for over six weeks, Borysiuk feels he’s ready to contribute to the team.

A frustrating ankle injury picked up in pre-season training meant he’s had a delayed start to his QPR career but he is almost back to full fitness.

The midfielder said the prospect of facing seven games in 21 days is not something he’s ever experienced, but it’s a challenge he’s looking forward to.

“I still have a little problem with my ankle but nothing special,” he said. “I think next week everything will be really ok.

“The upcoming games are going to be really busy – I think only in England this schedule is possible!

“But I think we are ready because after the game against Wigan mentally we are feeling great and we’re ready for Blackburn.”

He finished: “I think the team looks really strong and I am going to give everything for the club and for the team.

“I can’t wait to finally get going!”

Great to read about players wanting to get out and play in the hoops, how refreshing.

Should get Łukasz Piszczek from Borussia Dortmund. A great right back, but unfortunately out of our price range.

The future looks good. I still have some doubts about JFH, but the signs are that I will have to eat humble pie in copious quantities! I have tickets to the Huddersfield game and was fearing a gubbing, not so sure that we can't get a point now though.

Woody, you give tough challenges, especially when I am in a bad mood as Poland blew a two goal 1st half lead against Kazakhstan with 15 minutes of mayhem and suicidal defending at the start of the 2nd half.

It was not easy to decipher, but my guess for the 1st sentence is "I am happy that I can see him".
I give up on the 2nd sentence.

Here is a challenge for Ted. Use the two Polish lad's surnames as the last words in a sentence and make one of your rhyming poems.

You wouldn't want to be trying to say their names after a few pints.

I like your Polish, but perhaps we should focus our energy upon the imminent renaming our club to Queens Polonia Rangers?
