Middlesbrough v Watford Championship 15:00 +00:00, January 12, 2013 The Riverside Stadium, England That is all for now...just so we have a thread, if anyone wants to do a proper one we can move to that
I have no idea if it will work or not, but a number of channels are showing the Middlesborough v Watford game live. One stream that is advertising it is http://liveonsat.com/LJ_____soccer_b_english_ALL.php so might be worth a look.
Cheers Frenchy, I might well give that a look. I finished my job today, so might not make the 9am start if celebrations go as planned. Unfortunately, new job starts on Monday but got to bring the money in somehow.
From the ever reliable BBC: TEAM NEWS Middlesbrough will give late fitness tests to defenders Andre Bikey, Seb Hines and George Friend (all hamstring) before selecting their squad. Faris Haroun (hamstring) and Andy Halliday (broken nose) remain doubts. Watford manager Gianfranco Zola welcomes back Manuel Almunia (hamstring) and Almen Abdi (pelvic) after both returned to training. Jonathan Hogg and defenders Fitz Hall (both hamstring), Tommie Hoban (Achilles) and Neuton are all doubts. MATCH FACTS Head-to-head • Middlesbrough put themselves on course for only a third double over Watford, and first in over 40 years, by virtue of a 2-1 win at Vicarage Road three months ago when Marvin Emnes and Scott McDonald scored and Watford had Matej Vydra sent off. • Watford gained the fourth and most recent of their away league victories over Middlesbrough in October 2009, when a goal from Tom Cleverley was sufficient for all three points. • These clubs have never played out a goalless draw. Middlesbrough • Fourth placed Middlesbrough are looking to close the two point gap on the top two, with a fifth successive home league win, and an 11th of the season. • Tony Mowbray's side are four points down on where they were in 1997/98, the last time they were promoted to the Premier League. • The Teesside club boast the longest goal scorers list in the Championship of 17 different players. Watford • Watford have suffered successive defeats in 2013; 4-3 against Charlton in the league and 3-0, away to Manchester City in the FA Cup. But they've only been beaten twice in 12 Championship outings. • Gianfranco Zola's side are looking to extend their unbeaten away league run to six games, having picked up 11 points out of 15 on the road since a 1-0 defeat against Blackburn at Ewood Park on 27 October. • The Hornets are the joint top away scorers of league football in the country, with 27 goals in 12 outings.
thanks for the thread guys! ...i'm off to the Riverside tomorrow, me and little miss Hornette on another road trip, we love it! Mr H, on the other hand, is not so keen...he hasn't stopped moaning about it since i mentioned i was going to Bristol City and Notts Forest as well....think i'll keep Ipswich quiet for now . So, a win for us of course, though i'm sure this will be a very tough game..but we all know they didn't deserve the win at the Vic, so it's pay back time!
Just point out to him that, if you didn't attend these way fixtures, the pair of you would merely have to compensate by going shopping with his credit card. Should stop him.
I think this will be a tricky one but hopefully the Golden Boys can pull it off, a bit dramatic but we need a positive result today U'Orns
Tough game for us. Got to get up and going after last week and a few forced changes - I am hoping for a draw, so going for a 1-1. Well done H - I just could not get going to go up for this game.
I had us down to lose by the odd goal in 5 but am more optimistic now and reckon we will at least get a draw and maybe sneak a win - will be a tough game though
@Observer_Owl 3 changes for #WatfordFC v Boro: Almunia; Doyley, Nosworthy, Ekstrand; Cassetti, Abdi, Chalobah, Battocchio, Pudil; Deeney, Vydra
Hmm - no Eustace. Good to see Abdi back though. = and Forsyth. Subs Bond, Eustace, Yeates, Forsyth, Anya, Geijo, Forestieri.
A very defensive bench then... ... if a centre back gets injured, do we change formation, or play Eustace there?
Suprpised he is not playing..... Jon Marks suggests he is being carefully reintorduced... and forsyth on the bench
