Another below par game where we ground out a 1-0 win. Pattern so far, Three 1-0 wins, 3 clean sheets, 3 goals scored by defenders and AM's, still no goals from our strikers, still Bielsa stubbornness, that's still a worry with 11 games left to play. Again we didn't play our best football, we've played better and know we can play better but it was enough to control Boro in patches and come away 1-0 winners. So joe also says performances don't matter as long as we get the 3 points, and I say again, we need to put in the performances to continue to get the 3 points, it goes without saying. The defence put in a good shift again despite the performance being off slightly. White played a great game at CM, he creates an impact when he drives forward with ball and has the opponents backpedalling. Whites reading of game has come along in leaps and bounds recently. Cooper also drives forward with ball, and it's what we need on a regular basis. Despite some still trying to big note Pirlo, we've won 2 games on trot without him, we've won around 5 of the 7 games he missed through 2 reds and banned for 1 game over last year or so, and the defence have done great without him. Facts are there for all to see, even if you don't like'em. Berardi played another good game, solid and reliable as usual, makes you wonder why our best and most experienced defender is not starting. I believe he's now played in all 4 positions across the back 4. Pablo's starting to feel it maybe?...not so sure about that, when you look at our 3 strikers throughout season, Pablo's still up there creating havoc with his specialist passes. Bit of an off game with his passing against Boro, still did enough to create mayhem for Boro game, and, despite being unlucky in hitting post, he got an assist, a beautiful assist to Klich who popped it in bottom left corner. The 1 2 with Klich was precision passing. Klich had a good game, not as good as his BC performance but he still did a good job in splitting Boros defence during game. Bamford, he's beyond a joke now and just keeps humiliating himself with the help of Bielsa. Bamford can't score from 6 feet, he can't score from 6 yards and now he can't score from 6 inches; we got 11 more games of watching him....................Gessa, good job you stopped predicting when Bamford would score, you'd still be on losing side. Harrison, same old same old. Harrisons predictable like Bamford, and both are transparent. Harrison can't help himself, he's got to try and dribble around everyone and corner flag nearly every time resulting in him losing the ball, or falling over his own feet, when he loses ball he brings our attacks, and counters to an abrupt halt...........Man City let him out on loan cos they believed he wasn't good enough for PL. Costa, needs to stop mimicking Harrison, it's getting us nowhere. Dallas still seems to be off his game slightly, he played alright but off the boil a bit. He's not a RB, he's not a LB and I think that could be reason. Scrappy at times, good football other times, a few of scares from Boro, they weren't going to roll over and play dead, that's for sure. Biggest scare was when they lobbed Kiko and bounced off crossbar. There was nothing Kiko could've done had it gone in, no keeper likes to be lobbed. While some are saying we have the easiest run in to end, no we don't, those 11 remaining games are not going to be cakewalks that's for sure, and we need to pick up our performances to ensure we get enough points to stay in top 2. I always find it interesting how Bielsa says our loanees / new players (who he doesn't want to play) always pick up little niggling injuries when he doesn't put'em on bench........I don't think Bielsa is as honest as some think. Enjoy. ext highlights Bielsa post match Ayling post match Klich goal cam Oscar post match wainmanjoe post match and fans go wild.
Oscar, Oscar? Who the fcuk is Oscar? Same old, same old. Slaughters half the team & the manager every game. Including victories. That's not my definition of a supporter. FFS, Clive understood more about the game than this clown, yet as I recall, he got chopped only because he was 'unreasonable' in his praise of 'Graysin', & criticism of various others. The big difference is that many times Clive was right, and he didn't stick to the same players to criticise / praise.
