I thought this deal had gone away but it looks like it's happening for £8 million... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18773700
I know he is good player and would love him to come to us, but I feel this is just liverpool holding up their hands and saying we can't compete with the top four. And I wonder if they will be gazumped again by a bigger club just to prevent them having him?
Do you get the feeling that brendan is doing a carbon copy of his time at swansea, i have listened to his press interviews and its like going back in time. Maybe its me but there do appear to be a hell of a lot similarities
liverpool will get a great player if they get him.. much rather him than Sig's any day and £8 million is cheap for his caliber....good on Brendan now leave our players alone this season please.....
All the superlatives are the same, fantastic players, love the city, making history blah blah, and like us the Liverpool fans are eating it all up, he talks a good superlative does Brendan
But don't you think there's nothing knew about all this, I agree with mabon, not our problem now of course, but it's all the same . Time will tell Reading Mark 2 methinks!
did well with us valley so we cant complain can we.......Its going to be tough for him but i would never put any money on him failing thats for sure......
We should put in a cheeky bid in and see where Borini would really like to play his football .... on the field with us, or on the bench at Liverpool ..... under Laudrup or under Blarney. For 8M he's worth a shout, hell we were going to pay 7M for Sigs. But if I remember correctly his agent seemed like a bit of a prick.
Love to see him back, yankee, but wages would be the problem even if could fork out £8 million to buy him. Just a thought; he did well for us in the Championship but he isn't proven in the Premier League. I believe he would do well but belief isn't proof......
£8 million is £5 million over priced. Sorry, he aint a Top 4 player. Oops I forgot, Liverpool a'int in the top 4..................
No doubt he is a good player - worth a few million for his free kicks alone. But a question mark over his ability in the Premiership. Personally I thinks he will make a decent fist of it.
Managed to see a couple of games with Borini coming on as a a sub this season & he was the best player from the time he came on till the end of the game . Got a pure adaptability to him , could conform to any team .... successfully IMO . Ever since I seen him get that goal where he faked a couple of close in kicks , amongst traffic , & cool as you can pop it in I figured there was something special about him . I'd pay 10 million for Borini before spending 7 on Sig , & pay Borini better wages too .
