He's done well especially in recent weeks and I hope we keep him.i think we will as he will be good back up and a good option off the bench ( compared to what we have now) .looking forward to seeing him in ared shirt again. This is when the loan system works well.
He was always a hard worker and seems to be adding a bit of end product to it now. Can only be good for us. We won't be able to afford superstars parked on the bench, so if we can fill it with a decent second string then hopefully it'll help us sustain a challenge on several fronts. We can't afford to send the likes of Borini out on loan again next year, because we'll need them for ourselves.
For me in terms of loan success this year I would rate our players as follows: 1. Borini - voted Sunderland young player of the year at Sunderland and their fans have given nothing but praise to the lad. Has gained vital Prem experience which puts him marginally above 2. Suso - Has been influential at Almeria and has reached double figures on goals and assists combined. Had a lazy moment mid season (stayed in bed) and still picks up cards like Brad Pitt on Valentines day, but a good season. 3. Wisdom - Stalwart at Derby this year, unlucky not to make championship team of the season 4. Coady - Only in League 1, but has been very good for the blades this year, picking up goals and featuring centrally in their decent play. (Championship loan next season.) 5. Illori - Has been very solid and impressive for Granada in alot of games this year 6. Adorjan - Has featured regularly for Groningen and scored and assisted a fair few. Good for someone who has had no chance with us yet. (maybe hasnt done enough to remain.) 7. Robinson - has been a regular for Blackpool all year in wht has been a bad season for them In short, I would have Borini, Suso, Wisdom and Illori back next season and think they could certainly contribute positively. Think Adorjan will move on, as will Ngoo and possibly Robinson, (McLaughlin and Brad Smith may be better prospects.) Coady (and maybe Illori) should go back out for a season and be joined by Tex, Alberto and Ibe. i think those ive mentioned to go out again next year will really benefit from regular game time in the way Suso, Borini and Wisdom have this year.
I'm hoping that ibe might stay around the first team squad next season. With extra games available id like to see him get game time..and not 5 mins here and there. Illori too.
Would have had Moses in against Chelsea to Mark Salah if it was allowed. He always did well against the Egyptians.
Maybe we should pretend we really want Moses, Cissohko and Assman. That will no doubt encourage Spurs and Chelsea to put massive bids in for them..lol
